    Default Khyber Seat Belts

    AOA WW,

    salamz to all pak wheels members, hope all of you are in good health and enjoying Ramazan. I just want to ask all of you that i own a khyber 1995 and i want to install seat belts with lock system in it. the default ones installed with khyber are just adjustable and not lock system with it. please advise me following:
    1) will it work perfectly in khyber ?
    2) from where i can install it in my car in rawalpindi / islamabad ?
    3) what will be the approximate price of these belts ?

    no...old cars dont lock...new 1s do...like cultus and rolla and civic all have

    @changing

    even khyber belts r short and dont lock....but they do save u in accident....so they do the same work....

    but if the after market belts dont lock..they r useless.....just like u not having any seat belt while driving

    The adjustables are better if only one person use it. Adjust it once and you are good to go. Also you can adjust it a little loose to prevent the ironing (istree) of your clothes (shilwar kameez)...

    The auto lock seat belts should lock when you pull it hard. if not it is useless...

    @rozzzz
    what are the motors for?

    By "lock system" poster actually means
    Retractable Seat Belts
    I think these would only be available in junk market. New one will not be available.

    @ rozzzzz & metalhead

    The seat belt lock become functional when its pull hard and that is the case of accident my friends.

    """ In 1946 Dr. C. Hunter Shelden had opened a neurological practice at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. In the early 1950s Dr. Shelden had made a major contribution to the automotive industry with his idea of retractable seat belts. This came about greatly in part from the high number of head injuries coming through the emergency rooms.[15] He investigated the early seat belts whose primitive designs were implicated in these injuries and deaths. His findings were published in the November 5, 1955 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in which he proposed not only the retractable seat belt, but also recessed steering wheels, reinforced roofs, roll bars, door locks and passive restraints such as the now-and-ever-popular air bag.
    Subsequently in 1959 Congress passed legislation requiring all automobiles to comply with certain safety standards.[16] """
