    Default Khyber's carb issue

so here is the problem,my khyber's carburetor is out of tuning. on petrol though only,it gives a little black smoke. what i think is its because of car running too rich, ive tried to adjust air-fuel mixture and not much of a help out of it.
ive read on many sites sayin that

"There are no exact settings for a carb. Here is a previous answer i gave telling how to set a carb that should work just fine for you.On the body of the carb there will be a screw(usually brass).Screw it in clockwise til it lightly seats.Don't screw it in too tight as it will damage the tip. Then screw it out 1 1/2 turns.Start the bike. For the following adjustments go 1/4 turn at a time giving the bike about 15 seconds between each adjustment to react to the new setting.Start screwing the screw out(richer) 1/4 turn at a time til the engine starts to stumble from being too rich. Then counting the number of turns you make screw the screw back in 1/4 turn at a time(leaner) til the engine speeds up and dies from being too lean. Stop there. Now screw the screw back out half the number of turns you screwed it in.For example if you screwed it in 3 turns you would screw it back out 1 1/2 turns. It should be very close to being right.Adjust the idle and ride it.If need be fine tune the adjustment richer or leaner 1/4 turn at a time riding the bike between each adjustment""
    copied from yahoo answers.

now problem is when i screw it in clock wise, car's rpm increases but never comes down when even ive screwed the screw all the way in which i think is wrong,it should lean out and start to stumble.. any ideas?
carb was cleaned with carb cleaner, NO RESULTS
carb settings were adjusted with 3 different mixture screws, NO RESULTS..( all have different length of tip )
mechanic told its due to some butterfly thingy gone bad in carb,so before i get the carb open,i wana get expert's opinion. car was all good a month back, and without any fiddling around, this started to happen..

PS: The float level in carb is adjusted to factory's recommended level,i-e 7 mm.. read it in manual here on pakwheels

    experts please???
and if some one knows any good carb mechanic in rawalpindi,do post name, location etc

most probably the mixture seat is broached. btw are you adjusting it on cold start or with a hot engine with air cleaner box installed. One way to test the idle mixture is to use a cylinder of propane gas. Stick the propane nozzle into the air cleaner housing with engine idling. very slightly open the propane valve - the engine should very slightly speed up on the very low gas volume. If you then open a little more the engine should balk and stall out.

You can also test this with an EG machine if you can get to a place which has it.

sir I am trying to adjust it on warm engine with temp needle right in the middle and after fan once kicks in and then out. and also ive tried with both air filter assembly on and off..
i adjusted yesterday again and its now very very minimal black smoke, with smooth ride,it still gives more smoke if i rev it hard..
and propane gas is? sorry i dont know that so if you could guide me about it?
whats it called in normal language in market, and also how to check , meaning i should open propane gas a little, and engine speeds up and upon opening more of that,it should stall, what would it mean that engine mixture screw is working right or what???
ive checked all pipes on carb, those small pipes i dont recall name of :p they are fine, also there is no air leakage, ive checked that with burning a little of cotton and by its smoke being brought near carb,no smoke was sucked in by carb so that means no air is let in from other areas of carb..

PS..EG machine?? the computerized tuning shops have em?

propane gas is choolha gas - burshane branded.

anyway - make sure the powervalve is sealing up, it takes a vacuum signal from the manifold and is in the middle of the carburettor, if it leaks you will get fuel leak into the manifold. Its best checked with a vacuum tester, it should hold vacuum for atleast 15 seconds and be sealed up.

EG analyser, = exhaust gas analyser - enercon shops have it.

xulfiqar bhai, ive dont all settings. not there is no smoke on hard rev and on idle..but there is some black smoke on the tail pipe when i start the car in morning or when ever i start car on petrol after been parked for a while. no such thing happens on CNG.
a thing to notice is now car is giving quite of water from exhaust and it is water and not oil as ive seen it and checked it,it goes dry as normal water does. and dosent smell like oil either.(on cng water thrown out is quite low)
what could be the reason of black smoke on start ups only on petrol and not on CNG... smokes disappears when car reaches its optimum temp...?car responds properly, its not reducing oil at all. any ideas?
could it be timing issue?? but ive got is checked and mech said its OK,he checked with timing gun.

PS,what should be the EG value for a khyber? i mean how would i know its OK value.
mixture is set properly on warm engine,so could there be a reason that the mixture is disturbed with cold car and gets back normal when it reaches its normal operating temp
    taggin you @Xulfiqar

the black puff is not normal, fuel is leaking when shut off, verify float level and also verify powervalve sealing up. This ullu powervalve causes much pain like this.
