Hello Folks,
I bought a khyber-93, but as it has a generic characteristic that it has less road clearance. Specially on RWP's streets adn roads its very difficult to keep its bottom clean. Car touches almost every speed breakerif having 4-5 pessengers. Is there any way out through which it can be uplifted ???? I already tried steel packing both with front and rear shocks but it lessen the road grip. What should i do?
Are you using low profile tyres such 12/R65/165 etc. Use a tyre which has a greater number with R in size such as R75. You can also try 13inch rims and high profile tyres. Just a few suggestions, may be they work or not.
i agree with mics420.u should try larger rims instead of steel packings.
4-5 people in the car and I assume u also have CNG. If so then even a Corolla will touch a speed breaker. If u still think that ur car is unecessarily low then have ur shock absorbers checked. A simple test ican be done in the following way:1)Stand at any corner of the car and press sharply down on it using both hands.2)The car should go down and come up. That means it should give only 1 bounce. If so then ur shocks r ok.3)If the car keeps bouncing then ur shocks need to be changed.By installing bigger rims u will lower the clearance between the tyres and the mudguards. So if there is load in the car the tyres might touch the body. Be a bit careful in this regard. Hope ur problem goes away.
maybe the car has original springs and shock......problem wid khyber is that its original springs are too low for pakistani roads if the car is full so i wud suggest that u shud rather increase the height of ur car......i dnt knw abt others but i had to increase the height of the car a little
1st of all check if u dont have desi tyre made silencer rubbers, coz they are long and lowers the silencer, thats what i faced with my alto,if they are all according, rmove all steel packings and get Cng springs for rear, and shocks also if needed
