    Default Liana CNG problem

AOA iam facing a problem on my liana, its idle RPM continously fluctuates between 400-600, and the funny thing is that its idle RPM is more with out AC, and less with AC, meaning to say with out AC 700-800 and with AC 400-600, now the problem is that due to such low RPM check engine light blinks and car shuts down some time, when i restart it it get started on petrol perfectly, its performance on petrol is perfect, but CNG performance is deterioted, due to this drop in RPM, its initial acceleration also get affected adversely, it is worth noting to mention that during driving i feel jurk of extra thrust as suddenly power increases but this happens just for few seconds, the problem related to RPM get more prnounced with AC and lights ON. i have taked my car to suzuki dealers, first they have adjusted gas it gets fine but after some time problem came again, i took it again then they adjusted tappet, cleaned the injectors and gas kit excluding cylinder, and changed the plug wire, it worked for a while but problem has risen again, then they advised to change the AC kuppi, which i have no idea what heck it is ?,,,,,, they said it maintain idle RPM when ever AC put on , personnely i feel i has something to do with IAC valve, although i my self cleaned all the sensors including mass air flow sensor, but it makes not much difference, few suggestions in my mind are

    1. get IAC valve checked

    2. get back to suzuki dealer for CNG tuning

i need advice from liana users and experts

    lookin forward

    Don't switch to mechanical kit..MAN..

Liana has the nost advance CNG kit ...Alll you have to do is some adjustments..thats it..

You said you've had your cars tappets done...at what guage 25 or 28?

also LIANA with BOUCH electronic CNG kit requires tappets adjustment after every 30,000 kms.,along with plug ,if you frequently wash you engine..RPM will drop.only on CNG...Just to tell you,in my properly tunned car i always had to look for as if its on CNG or petrol...also acceleration is good...another advantage is autoconversion from CNG to petrol which no other car offers..

One more thing ..this could also be due to lamda sensor setting..have that corrected and problem sorted..

Bro can U tell me the cold engine tappet gap for Liana? I need to check it. I used to adjust my Charade's gap myself as I had a copy of the workshop manual. Thanx.

I have bvought Liana 2007. It has done 145,000/- kms. It is giving problem in converting to CNG. Whenever i convert it does not convert and gives a toot toot sound. Then it comes back on petrol. Got it checked from suzuki dealers. They said it is computer problem get it changed. and coil problem get it also changed. they did refresh the software and it worked fine for couple of weeks. Then again it stopped working on CNG and shifted on petrol. On petrol it is working fine. I have changed the coils. It went on CNG for 7 to 8 kms then again came on petrol.

    Bro
i dun think that this problem is related to ECU or Computer. I think this problem is related to CNG switch as it must b having some short circuiting. What u do juss replace the switch from any CNG shop instead of suzuki dealer

    regards

If you can manage to drive to Lahore, visit Suzuki Township motors. Their CNG specialist is really good and I have seen him troubleshoot many FF CNG Lianas successfully.

following steps should be take to resolve this problem.
    1) check CNG wires which comes directly to batt specially the one which have fuse clean the fuse, its socket and terminal properly and look for loose connections.
    2) drain the oil from CNG kit
    3) wash the cng filter with petrol.
    4) clean the throttle body but make sure u remove -ve terminal of the batt before doing this.
    5) clean the TPS and IAC valve.
    6) reconnect the batt and start the engine and once the engine gets warm up adjust your idle rpm to 900 rpm by idle adjusting screw located on throttle body.

At more than 100K Kms, the injectors might need to be cleaned and the CNG filter might need to be changed. Please note that the inkectors need to be cleaned in open position and will need to be given a pulse with a small battery.

@automaster are you working for Pak Suzuki? If yes, then I might need to visit my nearest dealership.

    Dear proverbial slang
What's your opinion about Liana Now?
With low budget this car is a good option.
