    AOA,

I am using Shell's Blue bottle. It was recommended by the dealer from whom I purchased the car and also by my mechanic too.

Bro, go for Shell Blue which is suggested by Paksuzuki. It is the only locally made Semi-synthetic formula in the market. Price to quality ratio is excellent. I have been using Shell blue in my Mehran and Liana for two years now and no issues Alhamdiolillah. I tried switching to ZIC once, but I had a bad experience and changed it just after a 1000 Kms.

along with researching abt oil brands. look into what grade best suits your car. there are a few threads discussing oil grades that you'll be able to find using the search function as panicslayer has suggested.

Well it is true that is buying Base Oil from NRL as that is the only source of Base Oil in Pakistan. Shell & Caltex are not buying oil from PSO but PSO is doing toll blending for Castrol currently and was doing for Total.

The quality of any oil depends on its performance level i.e. API level and SAE grade. You can use any engine oil that is recommended by your car manufacturer or any engine oil of same grade as described in owner's manual.
