There are some minor problems which I am in process of sorting out like axels, tires brakes etc. One major thing seems to be the coils, a mechanic told me they are gone that's why car does missing while idling( rpm keeps jumping up& down), But it's minor so far so I am not going to change those yet as I read they are pretty expressive.
Other than that every thing seems to be ok.
Coils are not that costly as propagated in the market. Watchout & make sure you are not ripped off. First check carefully that whether 1 or both coils are faulty or may be both are ok & only leads are problematic. Even the new ones would hardly cost u 9-10K (genuine not chinese OK!!!) while excellent conditioned kabli would cost between 5-6K including leads with a few days check warranty. I was using the same for last 2yrs without slightest trouble. Stay miles away from chinese crap & also make sure, u dont get engine bay washed at service station. Kabli axles would cost around 2500-3000 each with warranty & if u go for kit replacement, that would cost between 5-7k for both axles. So in my opinion, your car doesn't need more than 10-13K expense & should remain trouble free for next 1 or 2yrs.

Thanks for the info. I'll get those things inspected again. I'll have to keep that engine wash stuff in mind. Those guys at service station just soak the engine.

I think market price for an 06 is around 650k in fair condition. I got mine (07) for 7lac. You might get it cheaper.

@AsadGhumman! Just learned that you have sold your Liana and bought a Corolla...ummm good luck with you new ride. I have been using both the cars for over a year now...I think Liana has edge over Corolla in many aspects (even Altis)...but I am talking about the cars of same model/year (the price difference is between the 2 is like 2-3 lacs). The best thing I like about Liana is the climate control and the seats (the front seats of Liana just hug you and hold you tight ) ... on the other hand while you drive a Corolla you feel that you are driving a solid built car, that can be face/bear the rough roads of this country.,,,what do you say?

Well Liana is still available. Paksuzuki had planned to discontinue it by the end of 2013 provided that MFN status was granted to India & hence paksuzuki could have imported parts for swift sedan. But since new trade policy with India could not materialize, so Liana is still available & they are taking orders. I confirmed it 2 weeks ago by calling at their helpline.

True that... Liana is much more luxurious as compared to GLi/ XLi... Liana's seats are very comfortable, road grip & braking are just outstanding, can't forget that how confident I was while driving liana which is not same with gli. Cabin was also less noisy & power aur speed ka to muqabla hi koi nhiii though a bit slow in initial pick... Corolla ki pick boht aala hai, while liana is very irritating in 1st & 2nd gear.

Google zindabad Manual Climate Control is a semi-automatic air conditioning system, which regulates the temperature of the fresh air supply depending on the desired temperature setting. Air distribution and blower speed are set manually by the driver. Manual Climate Control includes an interior sensor to measure the temperature inside the car. The electronic control regulates the temperature of the fresh air intake to reach the set value as quickly as possible and then maintain it constantly.

    Thanks.
Does my Swift have this as well? I though Liana and other sedans don't have this because they only have buttons and knobs

looking for New Liana, it was awesome experience with Liana,
i need buy new one, even i heard about City And Corolla new Models, as far as Liana Concern roomy, Comfort, and alot better then others,
the reason it was failed Resale value, and shape ( personal opinion) , people still stick with CITy and corolla, just basic models, always charge extra for CD, Alloy, fog lights, Speakers.. blah blah.. "in-no-cent" Awam still go for it.
    bring it on...

I was about to purchase a Liana Vurv as well. Manager even offered interest free installments for a year lol.
So, I had to pay 485,000 up front and 83,000 per month o_O.

So I asked people for opinions, and sadly everyone had negative things to say. Got a Swift instead and it's too small
Liana has a great AC and is very roomy+ spacious.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

    hi buddies (Liana Gurus),

    Please suggest:

    i) Whether Liana is a good car in the budget of 6 to 7 Lacs?
ii) What is its fuel consumption (How many litres per kilometer it does in city and on long routes)?
iii) Its spare parts availability in Lahore City?
iv) Its comfort level, road grip, brakes, engine power and overall is this car good for long routes?

    Regards,

    Farhan Syed
