It shouldn't happen due to loose battery terminal. Battery is only to start the car, after that alternator caters all the electric load. If this happened may you alternator is faulty or some of its connection is bad...

The car WILL shut down if one of the terminals comes off because the circuit will break.

bro you can clean it will being installed on the car.no need to take it out and clean it out just put some carb spray with rpm on 3000 and you are good to go.becoz taking out will cause sensors to malfunction if you donot do it with care.

Bro car shouldn't stop once it is started if you would disconnect battery terminal. Most cars have circuit similar to the following diagram except for Mehran, where there is no main fuse. After starting the car Alternator takes over the electric supply responsibility. Infact this is one of the way to check for faulty alternators if Multimeter is not availabe (which is never available with our local Mechanic btw). If the car stops on disconnecting battery terminal means Aleternator or its circuit is faulty.

It is jugaars like these which make modern cars like Liana fail in pakistan. Our mechanics are trained by their ustaads who were trained by their ustaads in the 60s and 70s. Those old cars had carburetors and dc generators.
Liana has an alternator instead of a generator and a voltage stabilizer and an ECU.
The ECU will shut the engine when it senses no battery. If it doesn't, the spike from your alternator will fry not only your ecu and/or other electricals, but also the diodes on your alternator.

In other words, never disconnect the batt in a running engine.

Bro DC generators were long gone from most of the cars. Even the FX came with an alternator. Don't know how long back the thing goes.
Secondly there cannot be a surge in voltage under normal operation(means once the engine is running) and output voltage depend on winding of the alternator and unlike DC generator, would remain roughly constant with very slight variation (1V at most). The DC generators voltage surge with increase in rpm. For Alternators Hz surge. The brightness in light that one sees while reviving is caused by increase in Hz and due to this increase in Hz the duration of ripple from Diode bridge decreases.
My Liana never used to shut down when removed battery terminal nor i have seen any other car doing this not even 2013 City and 2012 Corolla. Theoritcally only thing that could fry if terminal is removed with excessive load on alternator is its diode bridge and Cutout circuit. While engine started i have checked many times , system voltages vary around 14V and they remain same even with the battery removed.
But let me get hand on some other Liana to see if mine was the exception ...lolz ..

You mean, keep the car started, spray while keeping it at 3000rpm?
