Spent my whole yesterday on my liana. First i took it to a 3S master motors on queens road, got my car completely checked up from there replaced spark plugs, oil, filters, Fan and AC belts, got the tappet work done (Shims replacement), Serviced the breaks, the pads and drums were in good condition so no replacement was required.
Total expense was 10K +.
Then went to montgommery road and got the seat covers installed, not very satisfied with the fittings but OK. Bought a new Bosch Horn for my Liana sounds pretty good.
Total Expense 3,000/-
Then went to Hall road for the fitting of speakers amplifiers and sub, saved the original phatta and got a custom made installed for Rs. 600, got a small bass tube for the sub, since less space is left within the boot with previous bass tube, difference paid Rs 400, Fitting Cost Rs. 600/- for all.
Total Expense Rs. 1,600/-
My car runs very smooth now MashAllah....
very much satisfied.
as per my knowledge the shims of liana are required to be changed every 30K kms. Shims are small steel discs placed under the tappets when they grew old cause tappets to turn hard.
Guys i had a opinion about Liana that most have untill now when im going through this thread it seems its a nice car.
I need a suggestion. I have 750k and options are either a very good condition Liana or a Dihatsu Mira (JDM). If Liana, i'l be using it on CNG and if Mira, petrol of course.
Any suggestions of what model/condition of Liana can i own within 750k?
you can buy a 2006 less milage done A+ liana in 7.5 to 7.8 or may be 07 too.
Choice is yours,i would haved liked the spacious sedan against highly overprices little mira if i were at your place.
Best value for money these days and best buy in 7.5 and believe me 1000 times better than ''dinky'' mira which i have kept before too.

Its hard to tell but if get to split the car and start from a bolt, JDM speaks of quality from there upto the whole package + much space (not just huge dashboard with only glovebox), power, comfort and up-to-date technology.
Then we bought a 06 Honda City for family use and even this new ride didnt have the pleasure of 90k kms done 01 Vitz (It was 40k done in Japan)
I got a chance to own my personal car. I sold the 01 Vitz and bought another 02 because i wanted an auto and a better color.
So now when i sell it, i might fetch around 7.25k to 7.5k, im leaning towards JDM and a Mira is what i can get or if Liana is that good and has no issues, i might go for it.
I want more suggestions and preferably if someone is selling one?
I would prefer a 06-07 or later, 1.3 and black color with not a single scratch or touchup and under true 60k kms. I can stretch the budget.
guys I am planning to buy Liana 2007 Rxi and have checked out a few cars. However someone told me that there are issues with Liana's computer chip blowing off.
Would really appreciate if anyone of you who has owned a liana for more than 2 years pl let me have your feedback and advise if you have encountered any such issues or any other problems with the car.

Guys need your help. i have done a lot to my car but I'm still not satisfied with its performance on the CNG. On Petrol it drives like anything but on CNG it feels like its choking...
When throttled with a light foot car works fine but when floored it simply chocks and it seems like engine is struggling to get speed but it cant, a loud sound from the air cleaner box can also be heard...
What could be the problem and its probable solution....
yaar i have Liana 07 LXI and i am thinking of getting it change with Eminent do guys thing Eminent drive is better then LXI ??
Remember with every backfire,the air filter is of no more use.
The same class can be found in toyota belta but again unfortunately the prices.
Atlast in 7.5 budget liana is the best choice.
Bro I never said my car is backfiring... I know what that means, I have checked the air filter assembly and the air cleaner itself there is no issue with it. The loud sound im referring to is the hummmmm... that i hear as if the air can hardly pass by....
no such issues on petrol what so ever.
Also do let me know as the pick on the CNG is really slow, i mean i drove other cars on cng they work much better then that, even my santro runs better on cng then my liana.

btw has anybody experienced air blockage in company fitted cng lianas. Like is there any blockage in OEM design or some one has tried blocking the air intake to improve performance...
In my openion the dying effect takes place as there starts more air to be sucked in without much fuel to burn specially with CNG, the trick is to press propotionally you can achieve good acceleration.
Just happened today with me on Jinnan ave. I was in 3rd lane nearly at 50 Km/h and a poor Xli karolla walla came behind me and started honking and flashing for no reason then he shifted the lane and tried to cross me, unfortunately he was left a mile apart by me in Liana when I reached the creast of bridge. Then I slowed so as to save karolla from being humiliated as it is a holy thing in our culture.There were two reason:
1. There were vehicles in the right 2 tracks that hampered his acceleration and he waited for the gap to move out.
2. He must have floored while me pushed propotionally.
Later I cursed myself for behaving as a bad citizen.
