Today, I replaced all 4 tyres and alloy rims. The FF 15 inches rims had so many bump on them because of Karachi's so called roads and it was almost impossible to fix all of them as smooth circle. New wheels are 14 inches in size and new tyres are General's Euro Kruze.

Good. Ashfaq bought new radiator for me in Rs.5000 with one year warranty. Since then, my car is more cooler than before. Regarding block cleaning, I used STP radiator flush but IMO, it was just waste of money.

    Assalam-o-alaikum pakwheelers.

I am going to replace my car's fuel filter soon. However I am also looking for alternatives so that I can remove the filter from the fuel tank and put in place an alternative filter before the fuel injector rail, because opening the fuel tank every once in a while is a real pain. Has anyone tried this approach before or am I the first one thinking in this direction?

Do you know the exact place from where he bought it? It must be all alluminium with plastic tank right? What did he do with the zangg inside the engine area etc?

Yeah, new one is aluminum one with plastic on sides. Name is "ND". He done nothing for the rust. In fact, I was trying to clean the rust since last few months by applying different Tootkas and most of the rust has already been removed. Coolants (guard and abro) also removed most of the rust in these months.

Can't say about both coolant yet, because car was experiencing overheating issues previously. Now, it is stable and I will check build up of any new rust in a couple of weeks and will let you know. Currently, I have poured Abro's red coolant.

I'm using ZIC green coolant (pre-mixed) and haven't had any problems so far. The only downside to this is that it needs replacement sooner than the long-life ones out there. But what the heck, i'm going to replace it every 6-8K Km on my car. It isn't that costly. Whichever coolant you decide to use, just make sure that it is ethylene glycol based, as recommended in the service manual. Color doesn't matter if it is of the right type.

I didn't visit Ashfaq again after radiator replacement. Abro is working fine. I will switch to some quality coolant in coming weeks because I have wasted a lot of money on coolants.

I experienced 3 coolants in my various vehicles time by time , caltex, Zic and gaurd. And according to my experience guard green coolant is best.

The main problem with Pakistani coolants (guard, nasa, osaka) is that the manufacturers don't mention the chemical formation on the labels. This creates suspision on these coolants. I am now thinking to pour Toyota coolant first. Later, if everything goes fine, I will switch to Caltex long life coolant. Moreover, the radiator fan and the temperature needle remains on half during daytime and remains on quater during nighttime while AC remains switched ON all the time. I am thinking to make the fan to auto but fear of gasket failure is stopping me.

Hahaha same here. Fear of overheating plus gaskets always stops me in making fan auto and putting back the tstat. Also, each and every mechanic i met always said to keep the fan direct and keep tstat removed for complete peace of mind. And i am very happy with this setup. Atleast car takes us everywhere without any stopping or issue
