Take the rubber O-ring out from your cap and buy that for around 50 rupees. Keep the cap unless the plastic body is damaged and you can't tighten it properly.

Try to drive your car on petrol after taking the air blockage from intake filter box out. That is in place for running your engine on CNG only (intake air restriction for optimum combustion ratio on CNG). On petrol, car needs more air and without enough air, you will have no pick. For optimum pick on petrol, every time you need to drive your car on petrol then that air blockage should be removed prior to that.

Ok so i have installed ac cabin filter today in my liana. It didnt even have tray in it. So purchased tray from old parts market for 500 and filter for 350. Filter was of suzuki liana so didnt even have to cut it. The tray and filter were a perfect fit. Also there was a small plastic shock absorber type thingy on glove compartment tray which was attached. So did some search and connected it too. Now the glove compartment does not fall right down when opened but slowly moves down when opened. In short today both DIYs went sucessful.

Bro the problem is that there is a strong smell of petrol from near the petrol lid, after i drive it. If its parked for like 30 mins there is no smell.

9 out of 10 times this is due to petrol station boys not tightening the cap properly. One needs to press on it and then tighten it. Instead they just turn it and after a few clicks just leave it. It won't tighten this way. You have to press then turn until it's snug. Do it yourself from now on upon every refill and see if it makes a difference. Also check the back pressure release hose and the one going to the canister. It should not be blocked (it mostly is just a loose cap though).

I have tightened it myself. But the problem is still there. And sometimes i can hear the pressure that builds in the tank slightly leaking from the cap.

You said it yourself. Either the cap isn't tightened properly or the rubber o-ring is very hard. Change that ring alone may be. Btw if the petrol pipe is all rusted out, the surface could become uneven and rubber won't seal it well. In older model cars usually these pipes need to be replaced.
