    Some movement is normal in manual transmission cars because there is some cushion left for the engine with good mounts so that it can sustain jerks as the car accelerates/decelerates. And regarding tyres, that's totally a personal choice. There are lots of brands out there, you can take your pick. Personally I use Bridgestone 15 inch wide ones.

    What difference are you feeling now after new setup in pickup, acceleration, drive?

    - Recommended tyre brand and size for 15in wheels in 2007 Liana
    - How to remove to and fro movement being felt on gear stick when car decelerates. I have replaced three of the four foundations and fourth was declared OK by the mechanic. It has reduced the movement a lot but still some movement is being felt.

    Thank you very much.
    Car is with Ikraam dashboard repair guy where bumpers / sideskirts will be repainted. I'll share picture after its back.
    I have taken most of the actions recommended by experts which are necessary after buying a pre - owned car like all fluids/ filters replacement and radiator flush etc. I have replaced plugs with NGK BPRE6 Iridium and TB has been serviced but cars feels sluggish in 1st and 2nd gear only when accelerating after deceleration to 15/25 KPH. Initial response in that RPM range and other RPMs is fine. Only response after deceleration is sluggish.
    Shahid Mechanic at F.B area says there is nothing wrong with response and coils / valve clearance is fine but I am not satisfied. What can be done to improve response ?

    Tyre suggestion noted.
    Regarding shift stick movement. It is not there in my other cars.
    It is a momentary, max 2/3 mm front and back jerk which happens only when car is decelerating. Before engine mount replacement, it was very pronounced. I find it irritating and love to get rid of it if possible. Any suggestions ?

    Check the fourth mount as well. It might be on its way out. Other than that, check the bushings of the mounting member (the central metalic support that connects center part of the front of frame to the firewall side suspension frame, right next to where the firewall side engine mount is located). It has a couple of rubber bushings on both front and rear ends. Overtime they might dry out and go bad which causes the whole bar to move as the engine accelerates / decelerates. Replacing these will fix the problem. Task isn't that big, will probably take 10-15 minutes. Only 4 bolts, two on the front and two under the car at the back. Pull them out, place the new rubber bushings inside and put them back in, then tighten to specs (55 Nm or 40.5 ft/lb).

    Make sure that your car has a thermostat valve installed in it and the temperature needle reaches and stays in the middle while you are driving. If your car is running cold, it will not give you any pick. Also, check your car's O2 sensors. The primary suspect in lowered pick is a fouled primary O2 sensor. Look around on this forum, you will find some comments (including mine) regarding how to service it yourself with Apple Cider or simple white vinegar.

    I have read the whole thread. I went to the mechanics recommended by you. First went to Ashfaq but he was not at shop nor responding to calls so went to Shahid.
    @enthusiastic.learner
    Car is completely stock except 15 in alloys. No other modifications whatsoever.
    I have already read how you cleaned the 02 sensor and many of your DIYs. Really useful info. Problem is two mechanics i visited were adamant that 02 sensor and Egr are fine and are not uninstalling them despite my insistence. I lack the know-how to do it myself. I will try again.

    Shahid and ashfaq boths know me well.. But recently i have found ashfaq a bit doubtful in dealing...shahid is good and satisfies one for all issues.

    Ashfaq does not respond to calls and was not at workshop when visited. I have been trying to contact him for a week.
    Any recommendation who to visit for complete tune up including sensor cleaning job and injector serviceability check ?
