    @Nomi Bhai
So that the was long awaited break down part of your trip. Have you started the thread or is it still under construction. Please share a link on this forum for us to catch up with your other thread.

Waisay the scary part of you being alone on the motor way is really scary. It happened to me once. The story goes as "I got my sister's mehran overhauled and i thought who will do the runing/breakin period on the roads of lahore with absolutely no A/C last summer. So i planned to do it on the M2, Plan was to do it all night. I was on my way to Faisalabad to take one of my cousin with me for company, When all of the sudden a thunder storm started some 30~40km before Sukhekhi, my mehran was shaking like hell with the strong wind strokes filled with dust and dry leaves, thats when suddenly my car started taking jerks, I gave the left side indicator and parked on the service lane, and the cars engine stopped. I started it again and but it went of after a couple of seconds, even after many tries same thing happened again and again. I called my mechanic who did the job, but unfortunately he was not available and i was left all alone on the M2 and the wind was so strong that it was shaking my car even when i was parked on a side, then it started raining as well. I got out of the car lifted the hood and tried to look inside it was so dark that i couldnt see a thing, i got my cell phone out and tried to check the fuel lines, when the hood fall on my head, the wind was so strong that it lifted the hood and smashed it on my head, i took a cloth and tied the hood lever with the cloth so that it wont come out. Then i traced the fuel line coming from the tank and sucked some fuel out with my mouth, that did the trick and my car started finally."
So i better understand your feelings when you were stucked at Kalar kahar in the middle of the night.

SHue... That was a long story.

    Default Engine Trouble

My Liana has developed a serious fault. When I went to get the tappet adjusted the mechanic revealed that the valves in one of the cylinders have jammed. They aren’t moving at all. He checked with a compression gauge and the needle didn’t move a bit. Now the head needs to be opened and the valve and associated things will need to be replaced. Suzuki Central Rawalpindi has estimated the cost to be upwards of Rs. 60,000.

3S are butchers, check some other good mechanic, or simply get the head replaced from a kabli engine, that will cost you a lot less then this.

its sad happening, looks you car has been a prey to either high temperature lately or you have been neglecting the engine oil change interval or leaded fuel has screwed up your engine valve.
take it easy and relax.Do not listen mechanics too much.
I am sure your exhaust valve is stuck because as earlier you wrote that compression tester did not respond to one of your cylinder and that is true when ever an exhaust valve sticks compression tester will not respond.

Engine damage does not always occur when the valve sticks, but the longer the engine operates in this condition, the greater the chances are that some damage will occur.
what did you feel the car was doing?
i assume, the idling issue which is the major outcome of ''morning sickness''.What morning sickness is called in autos field that car on its very first start of a day like starting a cold engine overnight,it starts missing in idle speed of engine.
    did you feel it?

Engine damage does not always occur when the valve sticks, but the longer the engine operates in this condition, the greater the chances are that some damage will occur.
what did you feel the car was doing?
i assume, the idling issue which is the major outcome of ''morning sickness''.What morning sickness is called in autos field that car on its very first start of a day like starting a cold engine overnight,it starts missing in idle speed of engine.

Valves are more likely to stick in hot summer than in winter. The use of leaded fuels and inadequate leaning, means improper tune ups and dirty oil can lead to valve sticking.
Heat is among major causes of valve sticking. High temperatures in the exhaust valve's guide oxidizes oil and it forms carbon deposits on the valve guide, and these deposits can cause the valve to stick. The most frequent reason for elevated valve temperatures is valve leakage.

All of the combustion gas passes though the valve seat as it goes out from the exhaust port in a cylinder head. The large heat-absorbing surface of the exhaust valve face(seat) conducts heat away from its surface. A valve that is not contacting its seat properly (i.e., is leaking) cannot conduct as much heat into the cylinder head as a valve with good seating.
The higher valve stem temperatures make them more susceptible to valve sticking.
