Exclamation immobiliser and too much kercha

So I'm fed up with this issue and local electrician guy. He charges around 4500 to get it fixed. He tells immobiliser is the issue and not sure if really is.

Been googling it and seems to be the issue. Like the car cranks but doesn't do ignition. He doesn't some with with the device and and starts.

What can I do about it? The key I have is original as in it has the Suzuki logo on it and looks pretty legit.

I don't get it nor I have the tools to check it I think. Best to get it checked at Suzuki shop?

The electrician is like it will cost 25k for complete overhaul of the system. his is charging me fairly? I have a feeling I'm being ripped off.

I have made another key a dublicate one remove the chip from the previous one and install on it, Once i pick the key and tried strating the car i didn't start after 3-5 tries i pulled out the key it doesn't have the chip. Though in this process its look like the car is starting and shutting itself off like petrol cut off. unable to explain exactly will make a video of it

This is an immobilizer issue. If your car suddenly dies on you or if you have turned it off properly with the key and the next time you try to start, it simply cranks and does not start with the engine light blinking, it is the immobilizer. Most likely cause can be the antenna going weak. I had the same issue with my Liana and I ended up getting my ECU reprogrammed from a Bilal Gunj electrician. I simply got my immobilizer disabled (I don't need it because no thief steals Liana ). Then I simply replugged my ECU back into the connectors and it started on first ignition.

Don't crank the engine too much until the engine light is blinking (because it will not start until the engine light stops blinking) or you'll end up shorting your spark plugs and wetting the O2 sensor. Deal with the immobilizer issue first. Another alternative that you have is, simply try replacing the immobilizer antenna. And if that doesn't fix the issue, go to the same guy from whom you took the antenna and ask him to return it and make new keys instead. He will reprogram your ECU and make new keys for you. Bring your original key with you so that he can make the new ones exact duplicates so you don't have to change the lock set for your door and trunk.

Whenever I have a problem I take my car to 3s, the thing is they don't charge anything for diagnose of the problem, they are well equipped to tell exactly whats wrong with the car, after they have diagnosed and given me an estimate then I decide weather to get it done from them or outside, ( cross check prices etc from both sides),
I am talking about Suzuki Central motors

Just to add, If its the imobilizer, Either the check engine light or the immobilizer light would blink constantly.

PS : Suzuki charges around 1500-2500 for coding and a new key comes around rs.9,000
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Thanks. Other posters recommended to visit the place. Will visit their official in I9 in Islamabad.

Nothing like it. It wouldn't start randomly in the morning. Guy had to get me a 'new' key again. Had one made few months back and took 4500 for it!

He made a the new key and it went bust again. Going to visit the Suzuki showroom to see whats going on. The idiot electrician is asking 22,000 for full overhaul of the system. Islamabad ma kafie lootera han.

Does this count? I got it to measure wattage usage of my computer. It didn't work the way I thought it would.
