@adeelg84: CNG version was only RXI, but now LXI is also available with FF CNG. I have petrol LXI, so can't comment on CNG average, but it is reported to be the best CNG available in Pakistan (SIS technology). If you install this CNG privately, it will cost you Rs. 85,000/- as opposed to a normal CNG kit for Rs 32,000/-. LXI has ABS, Alloy Rims, Electric side-mirrors (really cool feature), matching handles/mirrors, chrome rear garnish.
@fzaman: rain-sensing wipers were never advertised by Suzuki, so you may be right. But I have practical experience and I think they work this way. Will let you know after confirmation.
@stonedsaint: Liana LXI brakes are the best among 1300cc category. They may not be as good as Civic or other Luxury cars, but nevertheless they ARE ABS. I never had any problems with them, and I think brakes are an extremely important feature of any vehicle, both from safety point of view as well as driving pleasure, as you can confidently accelerate your car only if you trust it to stop in time.
Durability and noise problems are inherent with ALL Locally assembled cars. Suzuki is no worse.
Price is not CLOSE TO other brands but EQUAL/MORE THAN them, as it deserves to be. The initial price was PROMOTIONAL. Current price: LXI 887,000/-, which is more than City. Check prices on Pakwheels.
Your last opinion is valid, Lancer is the best-looking car and it is Japanese. But Liana is the most feature-filled car with good resale, easy repairs and best value for money. SUZUKI CAPTURES 70% OF THE CAR MARKET, so it is the best-selling brand. If it is so bad, why do you think people buy it? Even in the small cars people have lots of options nowadays.
City is Crap, Corolla is feature-less and 5 years old.
