I own a 2.OD 2001. My question is, for eg, a VTi can go to 40km/h+ on 1st gear and 80+ on the second, but thats not the case with diesel cars. Please tell me whats the maximum speed I can accelerate my to on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear?
respected car owner: darthvaderToyota has not designed 2.0D with performance of petrol car in mind when they launched 2.0D for Pakistan use, you will only wear out yr car's engine fast trying to reach top most speed ratios in 1st 3 gears. 2.0D is designed for transport costing less money going from point A to point B. offering corolla style and should be treated as is.2ndly, vti is 1.7l engine, and 2.0 D translated into petrol engine power comes to 1.3l not 2.0 l petrol.now try to see how much money does it take to go to islo on motorway from lhr. on a vti and a 2.0D then you'll see "case of diesel cars" popularity in Pakistan.
levin bro vti is 1.6
oh well. lol
if u try to push the engine in the first ,second gear in a diesel car from the very first day,,then u can go to 40, and 70km,even on a diesl car.
