Sir very nice A/V receiver you have.
Connect speaker wire to speaker outputs of your receiver to speaker inputs of the SUB.
Connect the right speaker out of receiver to right speaker input of sub and same to left.
Connect wire from the high level outputs of the SUB to your stereo speakers.
The SUB will take the low frequency bass and give the high frequency lyrics to small drivers (speakers).
Usually home SUBs have low pass filter and controller.
You can set it to 80-100 Hz according to your you listening.
Very low frequencies may damage the SUB with very low bass so play carefully.
Also there used to be a LFE/bass settings in "Set Menu" of nearly all Yamaha and Pioneer receivers, check that out.
You reminded me of good old days, doing that stuff after 10 years.
Hope that helps.
