Audi's next-generation TT coupe is in the final stages of development and we managed to snag a few lightly disguised prototypes in action.
As expected, the new TT borrows heavily from the Shooting Brake Concept shown at the Tokyo Motor Show last fall. The thin headlights up front flank Audi's trademark shield grille design while a more defined beltline stretches from front to back. Overall, the car looks lower and wider than the current model. Although there was no sign of a convertible at this test area, expect to see a roadster version appear not long after the coupe.
Power will come from either a 200-horsepower, 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder or a 250-hp, 3.2-liter V6. Expect to see manual, automatic and DSG transmissions used with either engine, and both front and all-wheel drive.
Audi will officially unveil the TT coupe on April 6th
