I-9 are good. Just tell them what do you want. Never go for a blanket odo meter based service.
In June 2009 my car (Xli) hit 45K kms, I took it to Capital (with prior appointment) and asked them to change break fluid, power steering fluid and manual transmission fluid and top up ac gas. It did not cost much:)
break oil change 200 labour + 575 oil
-gear oil change 200 labour + 2,589 oil
-power steering oil change 200 labour + 592 oil
-ac check and refrigerant top up 200g 1,400
Toyota bill total: 5,756
I never let them fiddle with tuning.(H) My car tuning is still on factory setting.
Next I am going soon for break checkup and if pads needed replacement would get them replaces and also ask for general greasing.
Last month some kir kir sound started coming from steering. I took it straight to Toyota Capital and after two hours of labour (in front of my own eyes) they were able to resolve the issue withe the help of workshop service manual. And the best part was that the bill was only 500 rupees:). A roadside workshop would have created a mess for me asking me to change this and that and broken many other parts in the process.
I have a good mechanic for minor chores, like repairing and replacing the inner door handles:)
