well, given the reply from thread starter, im not surprised at all.there was nothing like a warrenty in a written form or so.thats why i did not take the 100,000kms warrenty stunt seriously.i mean, not maxxis, just how ANY brand of tyres, be it the largest one, figure out what kind of care did the owner took of the tyre? if he properly inflated it or not, if he got it rotated or not. its not a mobile fone that u ll see broken seal and not claim a warrenty.
plus, let me tell u. i use a small item to keep track of tire pressure, its a cap type of thing which is bolted on to the nozzle and tells u if the pressure is less or fine (was gifted to me by a nice fellow pw member) i get wheel allignment done every 10,000kms and rotate at 10,000kms too. but still, im not claiming anything.
but i wud request u to please post some proof that this is officially given warrenty (show us some pumphlets or warrenty cards etc) and let us know the exact criteria of giving claims on warrenty.
as for maxxis tyres, i ve used Ma-P1 for my city , they were just okay, not bad but not very good too. got first puncture at 8000kms and lasted for 45,000kms ( out of which 40,000kms was driven by my dad, im telling u that because some people may accuse that i ve been racing on them. i drove just 5000kms because i was out of my home town for studies and visited once a month)
