No need to change engine oil, gear oil at first 5,000 kms at least it is the case for Corolla. I do not know what is the reason Suzuki had been forcing customers to change at first 1000, may be they were putting a very cheap low quality or may be recycled lubricant in new engines (to save cost) and then force customers to change both at 1000kms. Good to hear in some cases they have started telling ppl to get it changed on 5,000 kms.
I do not own a Suzuki, but take my Corolla to Toyota 3S always and the visits after every 10,000 kms make a hell of difference. After my car neared 85K kms, I took it to 3S yesterday and the car now again feels like new after that.
