AOA everyone!
In order to have your car perform at optimum levels with max economy, one has to get the car tuned professionally and use original parts.
Regarding tuning I need to know, what one can do to get max performance from his car. Some of the things that I have in mind are as follows, others which may be missing can be added by you:
Clean plugs after every 1000 KM and change them after 10,000 KM.
In Karachi, which has humid and dusty atmosphere one should clear air clearner with high pressure air compressor, like the ones service stations have, every 1000 KM and chage it ever 5000 KM.
Change engine oil and oil filter every 5000 KM.
Keep power streeting, break and battery fluids on max levels.
Since these new cars do not have points, therefore there is no issue to changing or setting them. They don't even have a electronic distributor, therefore they need not set the timings. And new EFI cars don't even have carburetor, therefore no need to set air/fuel mixture... All the fuss is removed.
In the absence of all those obselete components, tuning seems to get limited to only cleaning/changing plugs ..... What else?
And if the car runs on CNG, what are the things that may be done to have maximum economy without significantly compromising on performance?
In Karachi, there had been a mechanic with computerized car testing/tuning systems, but that garage no longer exist, does anyone know any such workshop in KHI?
Several times I got my Baleno tuned from Faraz Motors in PECHS which is a Suzuki authorized dealer and workshop. They have a device which has a sensor of carbon mono-oxide which is inserted into the cylincer of the car. The mechanic then checks and adjusts the exhaust for minimal carbon mono-oxide emission. After such settings I experienced greatly increased level of fuel economy and performance. I also used US made platinum spark plugs they too contributed to increased performance.
Any positive suggestions in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Kind regards!
