@ GLIyou are talking the cabin sound of 2.0D?
@muneerahmad, yep, the cabin. Although it sounds powerful, assuming that noise is directly proportional with power(dont think so), it doesnt feel powerful and the noise is the worst part! Need new technology here guys! This engine has been there for decades!
cost aside...this comparison is more like coke and pepsi but if one is expensive than the other...ill get the cheaper one.
diesel is cheap..atleast for now than petrol but you pay a higher price upfront....so the payback is long.
Hold on ...
What are ones options except for the 2.0D ???
Anyone got the specs on the CD-20 in the Sunny 2.0D ?
Oh and what about possible imports of Diesel cars ?
if diesel engine offers bigge torque than how about the mcLaren slr offering 570lb-ft of road ripping torque (thats a petrol engine)
man diesel engines are heavier than petrol engines because inside the cylinders they compress air to about 200/300 atm. pressure. now it get's so hot that a jet of crude oil can also burn in it as it is above the ignition point of oil. that needs thick cylinder walls for compression. Also they don't need spark plugs they are about 5-10% more efficient than petrol engines.....but yet Destroying the environment because of excessive CO exhaustion. That makes diesel engines quiet U N C O O L .
ALTHOUGH their A.C works quiet well.
East or westSarkari engine is the best.
