Salam Pwers!
I bought a new suzuki swift about 5 months back. Tracker was installed in the car from day one. The car was in use of my father. After about 4 weeks, a strange problem appeared. The car would drive normally but then suffer complete loss of power. The RPM would drop to below 500 and pressing the gas pedal had no effect. One thing to note is that the problem was intermittent and usually happened when driving in a traffic jam.
Continuing, we suspected the tracker since it was surely something electrical. After a lot of maghaz mari with tracking people, the tracker was removed but the problem persisted. A few days back, people at Suzuki Sethi Motors saw the loss of power themselves and decided to do a serious diagnosis. The mechanic found that the grip providing power to one of the injectors was slightly loose.
This was done a week back and I have not faced the same problem now. Today I decided to check the spark plugs as regular maintenance and what i found was really very strange. The condition of spark plugs was very very bad. I am attaching photos for reference. You can see that the tips have been burnt and completely deformed. The car has just done 8000km till now.
What I need to know is what could have caused the spark plugs to detriorate this badly? Could the loss of power problem be due to faulty stock spark plugs? Is it possible that somehow water got into the plugs although I have never washed the engine but people at suzuki might have? :S
Regards
