Aoa. I went to a workshop yesterday to get my car adjusted on cng. Its been almost a year since i last drove it on cng.
Anyway, The car engine kept stalling as soon as i converted it from petrol to cng, so i took it to a workshop. The mechanic bought some insulating tape and told me he had to block the air filter in order for the car to drive smoothly on cng.
I told him not to block the air filter. It sounded dangerous to me. But he kept insisting. I refused and told him to adjust the cng without blocking the air. He did it reluctantly. But the car's pick is not good at all.
Now i want to ask you guys is blocking the air filter a good practice? Should i let the mechanic block it? Will it harm my car in the near future? Looking forward to your responses
P.S. I own a 96 Toyota corolla. 1.6 GLi.
