So I took out the cluster, and took reading of the voltages directly from the plug after disconnecting it from the cluster, and getting those same readings as before:
i get reading of 8v, which gradually drop to almost 0v, then increase again to 8v, and then gradually drop to almost 0v, and so on.
This could be the multimeter as well, but its showing correct readings otherwise.
Hence, problem is not in the cluster (or because of LEDs installed).
Still need to open the steering cover. Waiting for this Sunday.
As for the fog lights fuse, they worked for few months after the bulb change (older bulbs got busted when opening up the fog housing), after which they stopped working. When I looked for the cause, found the melted fuse (and melted fuse housing).
Changed the fuse and housing, and after approx 1 month the lights stopped working again (melted fuse and housing).
So no, the fuse didnt burn soon enough.
Now that the fogs arent working, the indicator lights at night shine relatively brighter than before. Could it have been the fogs? Should i get another fuse and housing and start up the fogs again?
