salam ..well I have coure and i feel its steering is hard/jam as compared to other coure(s).mostly people says that coure's steering is like semi power..but i feel my car's steering is hard
experts opinion needed..
hard steering? wait till u drive santro club...hard steering "redefined"
anyone ?where r storms and others?
Whats the Size of Wheels ? Is it 16" ?
well tyres are 155/65/12 bridgestone
have u checked for the leakage of the power oil?
well there is no power oil in coure ..
steering could feel hard if you have changed your tyres, or that there is insufficient lubrication of the steering rack.
If you feel there is a problem you shoudl get it checked because it can lead to premature wear and a costly repair job.
If there is also the sound of choon choon while u turn the steering, then lubricate the steering rack as adviced by Strom.
u may like to check ur wheel alignment ..a bad front wheel alignment sometimes makes the steering stiff..
thankyou Storm and others advices highly appreciated
well just did suspension work like tie rod and balance rod bushes .. and aligned my car..i wanna ask if this could b the reason for hard steering or I need to do steering rack work ?one more thing .. does it need to work whole steering rack or just to grease it ?
i'd think that there should be a change already.
but for your 2nd question i'd suggest you first try just greasing it up on it's grease points and if it does not work only then to get the rack opened (if needed)
thank you sameer bhai i'll get it greased tomorrow INSHALLAHOne more thing I need to ask i.e the steering remains straight when car is not loaded with 3 4 persons ..but when loaded the steering turns to the left ..not the car cuts to any side but the steering turns ..i have did alignment 5 or 6 days ago ..what could b the problem ?
Storm bhai m waiting
you say the steering cuts to the side when the car is loaded but it DOES NOT pull to either side? I'm baffled,.. this is a case for RacerF1....
@stormmay b u have not understood my question I meant to say ..normally when driven with less load ..the steering remains straight..But when the car is loaded , the steering turns to the left side and the turned steering goes straight ..if i make the steering straight , the car cuts to right.hope you understood my problem.
thanks for the clarification buddy.
i'd guess that due to the loading the cars suspension geometry is thrown off, maybe due to one of the following:
1) bad alignment (most likely a "toe" issue)
2) worn bushes
3) Bent suspension components.
