My dear pakwheelers i have a problem with my ride, please suggest some remedial measures.
The Right front tyre of my car punctured from right side. I replaced the tyre with the new one (unused one). From that time i am not comfortable while driving. I feel a bit hard with steering. I checked the power steering fluid but it is OK. I have driven only 3500kms with the old tyres. Is there any balancing problem or the tyre did not fix correctly. Moreover when i took my punctured tyre to the puncture shop the repairmain told me that it can not be repaird but to replace it because it was punctured from the side. Is it true?
that is because rest 3 are much used and 1 is new so its very obviously that you feel uncomfortable while driving,
its said when u change tyres change all if not then none.
i also think its dangerous too :S
Switch the new tyre with anyone from the back tyres.
shall i replace the new tyre with a used one (may be used more) (2nd hand)
naah...i think you shud bear with it for about 1500kms more..then you can rotate your tires, i.e replace front right, with rear left!
and front left with rear right!...
but wait for the experts to guide you...STORM!!!
That uneasy steering feeling may prop up when you corss rotate the tires or change one of the four. Just go to a good alighnment shop and it will take just a couple of minutes to adjust.
@ggwhat's the logic behind 1500kms more and why change front left
@autophilewhat about i replace it with a second hand tire.
well thats how you rotate the tyres red_bull bhai...atleast thats what i read in my car's user manual:D
and it says rotation at 5000km intervals!
alternatively you could use the new one and the spare (which shoudl be new) on the front and put the worn front one as the spare. that way you'll have an even tread on the front.
@storm & GGI did not realize the problem properly and bought a second hand tire.
@Red_bull..hows the drive now?
@Storm..Woah...BRAIN!..great thinking!(Y)
