@neatautos Stop giving people wrong advice. Braking system NEVER consumes oil. It is only used to convert mechanical energy into hydrauic energy and to lubricate the braking system. If the fluid is low, either brakes are done or there is a leak in the system.
Brake fluid at the min level... there must be a leak.

You can't just buy dot3 and fill it up. Always check your car manual to see what required.
Dot 3 - glycol based
Dot 4 - glycol based
Dot 5 - silicone-based fluid that has a higher boiling point
Dot 5.1 - glycol-based (synthetic)

In pakistan you cant really call them mechanics.... they just start learning as mechanic helper and then mechanic. Here in canada too be a mechanic you gotta work for atleast 5 years and while working attend college for 3 years and after than you have to write exam to get a mechanic licence, otherwise you cant touch a car in workshop.
