I posted this else where and here it is for you.
So much talk about grades and what is current and what is not. CI4 is not latest standard for deisel its CJ4 but take a closer look at the fuel types. I'll list them for you.
CI-4 * *is Current * *Introduced in 2002 for high-speed four-stroke engines. Designed to meet 2004 exhaust emission standards implemented in 2002. CI-4 oils are formulated to sustain engine durability where exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is used and are intented for use with diesel fuels ranging in sulphur content up to 0.5% weight. Can be used in place of CD, CE, CF-4, CG-4 and CH-4
If I were you i would look for CF on the box and here is why
CF is also current and Introduced in 1994 for off-road, indirect-injected and other diesel engines including those using fuel over0.5% weight sulphur. Can be used in place of CD.
I happen to own two land cruisers 1998 and 2006 and using Shell Helix Ultra in both ever since it was introduced in Pakistan. 0 smoke and amazing mileage and you can hardly tell if the engine is running or not.
