The gas supply to partially closed Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad is likely to be restored within next few days, said an official of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) here on Tuesday.
“With a couple of more sunny days like Tuesday, the present state of low gas pressure will end and it start moving towards normalcy,” In charge Media Affairs of SNGPL Shahid Akram told this agency.
He said the recent cold wave had suddenly increased the gas consumption, which resulted in partial closure of CNG stations.
A motorist, Adnan Haider complained that he not only wandered around the city to find the operating gas station but also found variation of CNG prices at different stations, which were from Rs45 to Rs. 54 for one kilogram gas.
