Salarzae, Datzburier ,all...thanx for your comments. There is no nationalism in this posting.I like countries that are emerging as auto markets, whether India or a small country like Romania.Either in colaboration with an auto major or by themselves they are thumbing their noses at the big auto companies and making them sweat a bit in their own turf.Look at Hyundai and Kia, giving the arrogant Japanese auto majors a run for their money. All this is good for the consumer in these countries, be it Japan itself, India or Australia.
Here in the US, the 'SPEED' channel profiled auto shows around the world and when they profiled the Delhi auto show the american comperes panned the Mahindra Scorpio as a Soviet era type contraption. All is fair.Motor trend had a discussion on one of their forums about DC designs supercars!!.There was both positive and negative comments.TATA is planning to release the XOVER SUV worldwide, including the US.Feedback is important to auto companies in this ever competetive market. That is the reason behind my posts of indian cars, especially in this forum, as i am aware of the sometimes 'heavy' feelings involved. It's all about feedback.Indians would naturally praise their own cars, just like americans do and every other car producing society. The russians love their Volga's and Ladas. And i agree, if i was working for TATA Motors i would never have decided on the 'Indigo' name. But, guess what?.Fly into Ankara, Turkey and take a TATA Indigo cab to your destination!!.Globalization is here to stay!!.Some more pics of the Indigo range....
