Default Which AC is better for Mehran: FF or Self fitted?

    Hi all,

I have been a silent PW member for a good time now, and indeed, I have learned a great deal from all of you pakwheelers. I am basically hunting for a car right now, and kind of considering a Mehran.

One option is, to go for a VX model of Mehran (which is without AC, and costs 50k less than VXR) and then have a Sanden or Denso AC fitted in it.

The other option is to buy a VXR model which has factory fitted AC.

Please advise on which is a better option all you experienced Mehran owners.

    Thanks! =)

    Dear Bro,

In mehran A/C does not work at all either its compay fitted or its aftermarket. in a budget of 5k (considering new prices of vxr/CNG mehran) i'll recommend go for a used Santro. You can find one goood club/executive in 450~500000. This car is much better then a mehran, very solid body, durable, chilling A/C. You wont regret it. I'll prefer an executive.

Thanks Adeel, Yar the thing is, I have a limited budget (about 300k) so I am going to get it via Bank lease and I (for some reason) always prefer a new product even if it is less powerful - atleast it's new and there is less risk of trouble. But thanks for the suggestion. I know Mehran's AC aint that good but guzara to ho jata hai na. I usually drive alone to go to office etc. and I only turn on the AC when it's really hot outside and traffic is jam. Of course I can implement a few modifications that members at PW have suggested to improve AC performance.

mehrans AC specially does not work in traffic jam and in too hot weather!!if it works which is almost impossible then u will face another problem of over heating of the engine!!1000cc cars hav gud fine AC like cultus, khyber, santro, vitz etc!

i will not recommend any sort of a/c for mehran. this is my personal horrible experience that f8b engine of mehran can not afford a/c on long routes and in traffic jam. it works fine for maximum half an hour after that it will start to through air and keep the car radiator boiling which endangers engine. please go for any other car if u want to lease. in 300k u even get xli on lease.
    Thanks

Thanks a lot guys for all your replies. I'll probably be going for VX without AC and live without AC for a while until I can buy a new car with AC on cash myself (after selling this one of course).

I dont wanna go for an expensive car on lease - kuch ziada he mehangi per jaygi

    Thanks a lot!
