hi pakwheelers, last saturday v have a trip to murree and nathia gali from attock, at sunny bank i have finished my cng tank that was filled on friday evenimg . on petrol i reached murree. later on i travelled to nathia galli we were 4 friendz in car but when my car starts climbing hills towad nathia galli its very difficult for my car to complete that task. at some moments i decide to quit my journy.even its pathatic in first gear.. finaly reached nathia gali and change my route to abbotabad and then to attock because its impossible for my car to reach murree and to climb those roads again........................no smoke from emission, engine is perfect. newly installed plugs(ngk) and point, cng tuned 2 days befor trip . on plan roads its good but accelration is not good as compared to other good mehrans. m so confused plz help what should i do with it and from where should i got tuned my mehran.another car along with us is cultus 2009 efi , cylinder filled from attock khurd(river indus boundry of nwfp and punjab on gt road) travelled to barakaho wid ac and then without ac to murree again to nathia gali and then to abbotabad the whole trip till abbotabad with 1 fill.......... refill gas at abbotabad for Rs445. much impressed wit cng performace. hats off efi cultus.
lulz you are talking about 2005 mehran when i was in islamabad this years feb i tripped in mehran(taking on rent with driver) i travveled daman-e-koh,peer sohava,ON CNG,just on hard and up turns driver swtich to petrol,that mehran was 2009 VX,even i still remember how i got saved climbing to peer sohaba Hardest Turn,when driver was trying to push up the car on CNG on first gear even the car suddenly switch off and start coming back,that Cheeta suddenly pull the handbrake and car slipped than again he tried on CNG but no use at full accelration,than coming back again,he swtiched on petrol than at last the mehran reached up on 1st hear,i had my father,me and elder bro with me in car,
than coming back from daman-e-koh,peer sohaba we in middle dicided to go to murre nathia gali in same car,well there such incident did'nt happen but the driver was driving a car like flying a plane on Zig Zag roads lulz :p,i think the new NHA road towards Murree is goood and easy rather than Coming back Old road,which is quite tough... anyhow Tripping in mehran to Hills is risky but adventuristic,hard but Thrilling lulz
You shouldnt be having any problems driving ur cng mehran up to nathia gali. Do keep in mind however that the last few kms that lead to nathiagali can get a bit tough if you dont build up the momentum. Probably its not properly tuned. Mehran isnt really a pocket rocket but it can easily travel on these roads with cng even with people in the car. So try different settings of cng until u find the right combination.
i have seen many nts taxi mehran they were doing good. ya its little tough for mehran bt a proper tuned mehran can do with less pressure. i think so.........bt brothers what a nice performance of cultus efi.. incredible performance.
i have mehran 2003, i visited Murree up to Kohala Bridge from Jhelum on CNG. On petrol setting was out, it started missing on petrol, but i completed the whole trip on CNG from Old road with four passengers.
We came back from new Road on petrol as CNG was finished.
after coming back to trip i went to change my car oil , during oil change activity that man said that sir u have to change ur air filter as it is choked. i was shocked at that time . because couple of days befor trip i got tuned my car but that mechanic didnt check air filter.during filter change he showed me that due to excess washer on top of air cleaner box melts. he also told me that sir u r just near to burn ur cars gas kit. any ways . thanks to Allah that nothing happen . so pakwheelers noe my car is 100% fit with good pic and sound as well. plz keep checking ur air filter before going to long trip. ans change it with 2nd every 2nd oil change. now air filters matters alot for me. and plz dont trust ur mechanic.
