Default Mehran radiator fan. auto or direct ?

    Hi,

i want to know whether radiator fan in mehran should be automatic or direct ? currently fan is auto in my mehran. temperature gauge show 45-50% in now a days. after gauge moves above 50% level then fan will on.
now a days it is cold , i fear that in summer it may hit 90 -100 %.

    Edit:

Model, mileage not mentioned. Going half way is normal if fan turned on. Same is the case with my car. Let the summer come and then check, if it goes very high, find cause of overheating.

Fan is working, it starts after 50% level of temp gauge is achieved. i intend to use AC in summer so that's why i am asking whether it should be direct or auto.

Model is 2004 and mileage is 78K.

With a/c fan should be running direct. Leave it the way it is. this is the correct way.

In mehran and other cars too, it is by default that when u turn on AC the radiator fan will turn on.

NEVER do it direct. Its good for your car the way it is. When you turn on the Air Con you will find that radiator fan has started. If the gauge is going above 50% and the fan is not starting then get its timing adjusted and serviced by an experienced electrician only, keep away from many of the jugaaries available nowadays.

Never direct your fan, its will effect on your ride pick and fuel consumption too, due to colder engine always, 50% heating is normal and not harmful for engine.

there is a relay that turns on the radiator fan as soon as the ac is turned on, so tell your electrician to install that relay.

by using that relay, your radiator fan will be automatic w/o ac but when you will turn the ac on, fan will start. this relay system is fitted in all new cars by factory.

keep the fan automatic with thermostat valve, as it is good for engine.

in the summer, if the temperature needle exceeds halfway i.e 50 %, check your car with mechanic.

This reminds me of a silly problem I had. I thought my car was heating up than later i realized that I opened my speed-o-meter for cleaning and installed the needles incorrectly.
50% seems just find to me even for cold weather. it could because of driving in 1st and 2nd gear alot, or stuck in traffic etc. I got 04 mehran with factory ac. and the fan always comes up at 40-50% and fan speed doubles up when i turn on the ac. never direct the fan because ur engine needs to work at its optimum temperature.

For optimal performance, fan should be auto, thermostat and Radiator should be in perfect condition and temp gauge should not go beyond 50%.
