A friend of mine has a Mehran VX 2007 model. On a visit to the dealership in Islamabad for an oil change, the mechanic used the oil extraction pump to take the dirty oil out and then put the new oil in. Since then, the oil is coming up in the air intake pan specially when driving on CNG. Also the CNG consumption has been badly affected. The car has no power when driving on CNG. It has been suggested that the PCV valve is malfunctioning because of the suction method used to extract the dirty oil. Also has been suggested that the piston or rings have gone bad and that is why there is too much blowby. However when starting the car, there is no visible smoke from the exhaust at all. He has been looking for the PCV valve but the dealers say that it is not available because it never malfunctions.
So in this situation, what should be done? The mechanics who have said that there is a problem with the rings and piston, give an estimate of 10 to 12000. And the mechanics who say that the PCV valve is bad because it was in the wrong position due to the suction, say that it is only for 100 or 200 rupees. So again... what should be done????
