Red face Mehran cold weather starting problem

    Hello Pakwheelers

I am having problem with my 2003 mehran starting. Here are a few observations to start (the discussion that is).

    1. In the warm months (summer) I did not have any problem with starting.
    2. Even in coldish morning these days, I get no trouble with starting when I parked the car on Petrol the night before.
    3. I start the car on Petrol and after warm-up, I put it to CNG after 5, 10 minutes of keeping on choke and neutral.
    4. But when I take the car to office and park it for 8 hours in the shade and then try to start it, it takes a long time to start.
    5. I have 60amp AGS cng battery (around 2 year old but well maintained)

    My problem is,
    1. The car usually starts well on CNG first time but if it is turned off then the second ignition takes a looooong time.
    2. If there was problem with battery then should the ignition stutter? If those tappets roll then the battery is fine, right? Or is a weak battery able to turn the tappets but not produce enough current?

    Thank you for help.

    Warm regards,

    Lone Wolf

Sir Jee, sb se best solution yeh hai k ap jb bhi car 8-10 hrs k liye park karein kahin bhi, winters mein use humesha petrol pe off kiya karein, carburettor mein winters mein petrol hona bht zaroori hai. winters normally dry season hota hai or CNG apko wese hi maloom hai dry hoti hai itself, isi liye aik tu dry season phr apka fuel bhi dry, i dont think its justice for your car's engine to start up chilled cold on a dry fuel jahan tak baat theri second self pe late start hone ki tu yeh koi pb nahi hai, yeh meri alto bhi krti hain dono, japanese bhi or pakistani bhi, asal mein first self agr miss hojae tu gas se carburettor over hojata hai due to the gas pressure pushed by the kit in carburettor. jb ap lamba self marte hain tu woh over gas burn hojati hai combustion chamber mein or jb level normal hojata hai tu it starts wese it will be beneficial for you if you let your electrician check your self if it needs any service/maintenance.
You will beat us with technology and speed???? we will beat you with experience.

if its cold and you face starting problems with CNG in winter then you should know that CNG engines are supposed to start on petrol when cold then switched to CNG. The 8 hour period is cooling down the engine to dead cold morning levels.

Make sure that your engine has a thermostat valve in the cooling system, if its missing install it - the paagal ke bacche mechanics will tell you that its gunaah, kufr etc etc. to do that, but its there for a reason - to warm up the engine quickly and keep it there, secondly make sure that your engine cooling system is also connected to the CNG regulator - it prevents icing and sticking of the regulator.

Does oil grading has to do anything with morning startup issues, like 20w50 and 10w40?
