    Cool Mehran Experience Tips and suggestions

    i have owned mehran for 7 years almost and most of the stuff has gone wrong so if some one has an issue with mehran he can ask me here i will be glad to help a mehran brother to put him out of this misery as mehran is a car that can make u go mad and pull ur hair a part KIDDING
    so some one has problem post it here i will do my best to come up with a solution
    Problem no 1: Starting in winters is a hell if ur getting late dhicka will do the trick but u need to check few things Park the car in night on petrol,Open the Self as mechs call it SULF and check barrings in it they are copper barrings and if needed so replace them else ask the electrification to clean the self,and reinstall it
    then check the battery DON'T add water over the High level mark as in winters problems is that Engine OIl freezes or gets thick and it needs extra kick from the battery
    other things related are clean the plugs and change the plug wires possible to 8mm ones and clean or replace the Point which comes in Distributor
    also check the
    +ve wire of the self is Tight to battery as most of the time its a small thing which makes u go mad

    PRoblem no 2
    :
    Axel and CV joints so CV joints are too weak in mehran and 3 years of rough driving can kill them and when replacing CV joints never go for a kabuli AXEL as they tend to be repaired most of them use Chinese ones they work good and tell the Kharaiya to never temper with the length of the Axel in fitting of the Cv joints the length should be as OEM specs
    and if the Straight joint is worn out replace it with Cross and the Cross kupa but be careful for length and the kuppa pick the kuppa which has the smoothest end which goes in to the Gearbox as it can damage Axel seals in gear box
    always use the Original Rod of ur car as its build for ur car a mechanic will suggest u to replace whole AXEL with Kabuli but its from an older model besides most of them are repaired
    Issue in top speed and pick
    when i first got the chance to Floor mehran on M1 with iridium plugs and 8mm wires bought from Shoba i was really Disappointed with results car was hitting 110km/h MAX on petrol i was so mad but in this i noticed a few things which were wrong in my car
    1 Cv joint of right axel
    2 Cylinder Packing it made dar dar sound like old taxies after 80Km/h mark
    3 and wires from shoba had no life in them they were used and abuses
    so excpet for CV joint i changed wires to new 8mm which are cheaper then shoba wali Kabuli wires and Cylinder Packing plus whole exhaust had wholes so repaired it all got her tuned from ENERCON center and after a few days i hit the M1 again plus similar iridiums were in it and this time results were amazing mehran ha 165/70/12 tires and speedo was showing 130 so u can guess what it was in real speed as big tires cause speedo to give an error 100 in speedo = 112.2 Km/h in real

    Ignition Coil replacement


    as most of mehrans have OIL ignition coil which Comes FF and it sucks it has a limited life and mechs do make a mistake when coil dies they assume that head gasket is gone and which leads to other problems.replace coil with magnetic coil which Alto and Cultus use its way better and gives an edge in starting costs were low when i did this 600 for the coil brand new but now i herd its for 1500 or something comes in a triangle box.

    Front Guarder o
    r GADRI

    as time passes Front Guarder or GADRI become rusted and weak which causes problems for mountings of the front jumping rod a new Front Guarder or GADRI is about 1000 and 4 bolts hold it in place on a non accidented car its not a big job Front bumper needs to be opened and jumping rod and 4 bolts and its the reverse process while fitting but a car which had some accident then its a job in which a denter makes some $$$$ but there is always a way around intall gaudri and all stuff and see if there is some difference on alingment of bolts of front engine mounts cut a whole with welding torch in the engine mounting plate and its easy and also make adjustments to the jumping rod u can make tires placement in the wheels where they will fit but go for some good dentor so frame can be pulled out will cost more but its the right way
    installation of Foam in Doors to reduce sounds
    its a simple task install some pieces of foam behind the lock wires and door handle wires inside the door
    open the inner door covers first take the hadle out its held with 2 screws then take the cover of handle out held with single screw then the window winder take it out but it requires a trick rool it to a point u can see the joint end of the pit take it out with a screw driver and window winder will be free
    then take the cover our its held with clips but don't put much pressure on them they can break after its out check all bolts and screws inside the doors if they are loose tight them and hit the door with ur fist so u can hear sounds now with other hand start detecting what wire is loose cut some foam and put it between the door and line
    by this u can reduce 90% of sounds in mehran
    Tire and rim size
    now we see many Kewl boys put 15s on a mehran but this little car never needs huge wheels
    best size for mehroo is 145/70/12 and 155/70/12 no other these two are best sizes

    Car off karne k foran baad start nai hoti ya car jab thandi ho jati ha tb nai hoti? Agr car 20 mint drivr k baad start nai hoti yani heating problem se start nai hoti..

    Use coolent.

    Sallam frnds..
    My car radiator fan wires feels hot when I touch it . I am afraid f some how it can melt and stop my radiator fan which might cause big damage..what should I do? Change whole wires related to fan or is it normal behaviur gor wire to becom hot while operating fan??

    OK brothers. I need an honest opinion.

    I have suzuki Mehran 2007 and mashAllah it is in great condition with functional AC. I often use AC and it has excellent cooling. But I have been facing slight overheating issue's for the past year or so. Well I cant label it over=heating issue to be exact. The only problem I am facing is that in these hot summer days of karachi, when my car gets stuck in traffic, the temperature needle continues to crawl up slowly and begins to cross mid line. It is when I switch off my A.C to let the needle come down a bit so i can restart it again. I have thoroughly checked my car and had it tuned and maintained regularly. My radiator is in good condition with no evidence of rust in coolant. Although my radiator fan is direct since it got stuck few days back so the mechanic did it direct, but I don't think that is the issue.

    Now my question is = I know that my A.C does exceptional cooling. I can feel very cold air and it cools my car's interior adequately. None of my door seals or etc or worn out which might indicate loss of internal cooling. I cant use sun shades as it leads to significant attention by police and being a single driver mostly, I end up being caught by them for no reason. But the big question is that I want A.C for my comfort. What is the point of having A.C when it wont work in jam packed traffic and insane heat ?? This is when I need my cooling to last long.

    So after taking all the factors in to consideration, and cost ( changing car would be too expensive). I think it would be appropriate to get a bigger radiator and faster fan. Since all the other mechanical parts are functioning normally at their maximum capacity. I can shortlist that it is the small radiator of small Mehran that causes it to overheat. SO my question is should i continue with my proposed plan of changing radiator ? Is that going to solve the issue ? And if yes, then what would be a reasonable place to get it done ? I don't want any experimental overconfident ustaaad. I need a person who knows his stuff and can do work reasonably well and is trained to do so.

    Waiting for valuable comments. Please brother, only those with experience reply. but all opinions are welcome.

    Default Mehran engine creeping problem when in traffic jam

    AOA @Xulfiqar bhai and all Pakwheelers and Mehran lovers,

    I have Suzuki Mehran 2007, engine creeping heating problem arise three days before when I stuck in heavy traffic Jam in Lahore. I stopped on road side and let the car to get cool for 20 mins. In the same night I got the engine oil changed and next day there was no such problem in traffic Jam.

    After two days, today morning when i was on the way to office; i faced a huge traffic jam on Raiwind road and faced the same problem within 05-07 min in the jam. I then checked by applying accelerator while car was in idle (without applying gear). The engine creeping problem was there.

    The radiator fan is direct from the day first and i am using this car since last 2 years. The coolant in the radiator is full and there is no reduction in it. Engine oil is also upto the mark. Car started on half sulf during the traffic jam while engine creeps.

    Also when i got out of the traffic jam i accelerated the car, it jerked in short intervals and then in big intervals and then the car got smooth and i reached the office.
    @Xulfiqar bhai please help me that what could be the possible reason of it. Also if anybody can help kindly reply.

    mehran euro 2 15k driven only and already front suspension is making noise, secondly while taking u turns once i let go of steering so that the car automatically gets straight, there is strong vibration and some rubber rubbing sound..
    solution for both please

    Yes mine too. and its 10000km driven. Will be going to suzuki people in a day or two for its checkup. Actually it do KRUNG KRUNG sound from left side when ever i turn it on left or right slowly. Am not sure what sound is that on but its definately coming from under my left hand tyre side. If any suggestions from any one kindly do let me know.

    It's normal for a wire to heat up a little while current flows through it

    Actually two wires had been burnt once...i have seperated the two wires of fan...but after that I felt heat issue in wire...might be weakened wired cuz they have been melt once...then I hav to replace it with 8mm wire...now its fine.

    1. I have problem with steering when i move it left side it makes sound of cheen cheen weather car is moving or still...No sound on right side...What can be problem..

    2. I want to install this Roof Patti..How much it will cost and how to install it Part A. and Part B How it can be installed i want to install it by my self.

    I own Suzuki Mehran 2005 Model. Daily office travelling one side 10 kilimoter. No issue

    If I travel long it starts missing and then off. When I tried again to start it starts but while pressing
    the race again off. So In short ruin my long drive. After 10 to 15 minutes break it starts again and
    then again and again same problem.

    But in daily routine 10 kilometer drive no issue.

    Please help me in the matter

    Coil is bad or cng kit has a fuse its done

    Bro the problem is with the Fuel Pump when it is cold the car runs and when the engine temperature crosses 90 degree the pump fails. Now you should do a little test that when your car stops after 10kms then open the engine hood and get a wet towel put it ari=ound the fuel pump and cool the fuel pump then start your car. It will start.

    But for future and permanent solution you should get installed a new fuel pump as well as fuel filter.
