Angry Mehran not speeding at CNG.

    Hello all,

I have 2011 model Mehran, the problem is that, it doesn't speed more than 80Km/h on CNG. However, on Petrol it easily goes upto 100+km/h.

What could be problem? The car is totally driven just 1500 kms and 1st free inspection by Suzuki is done but they didn't do any Engine tuning / tappet adjustment etc, they just tighten the nut/bolts and changed gear oil, that's it! So you can say that till after showroom delivery that car engine tuning has never been done so far, even-though it has completed 1500 kms.

What is needed so that it can accelerate like petrol and on CNG can go upto 100+km/h. I'm not a fast driver but it really really annoying when you keep pressing the full pedal and car doesn't accelerate and give impression that "I can't accelerate anymore"

Thanks brother, what factors should I consider while tuning. Also should I get it tuned from Suzuki 3S dealer as those stupid idiots didn't even touched the engine on first free inspection.

They should not touch the engine - just adjust CNG flow.

U need a tune up for cng. Tell the symptom and ask dealer to do it. Suzuki quality check is not good and many cars come out without proper adjustments.

Hey Spectra many thanks brother for taking your time. Well yeah I also think it needs tune-up. Any idea how they will tune it up? (Just for knowledge)

thanks man... I guess you are talking about "T Bolt" nut adjustment. So you had the same problem, what was the result after nut adjustment.

Same is the case with my mehran 2011 but I also own Mehran 2007 which easily go upto 110/kms and the latter's pick is also better, I think it'll be fine after first tunning

I have just talked with my 3S Dealer. He says bring the car we will check it, however there could be following two possibilities:-

    1. Some tuning is needed.
    2. There is a way to accelerate car on CNG, you don't keep pressing full Pedal in order to accelerate car on CNG.

He said you come and I'll demonstrate you to how to accelerate the car on CNG.

My question is... what is the "special" way to accelerate the car on CNG????

fuel economy or speed. you can only choose one at a time brother.

    More speed less fuel economy
    More fuel economy more speed

It is as simple as that

Yeah I understand. But since my drive is not so much, so I can compromise a bit on Economy over speed.

bro.. i also have mehran 2011 nov..... got its first tuning at 1000 kms, and they changed gear oil, and did the complete engine tuning including tappet adjustments, cleaning of sparkplugs, cleaning of airfilter, adjustments on petrol and cng..... Alhamdulliah it goes on 100 + on cng and gives me an average of 220 kms per cylinder (50 liter cylinder)..... as per my knowledge tappet adjustment and fuel adjustment (proper tuning)is required on 1000kms... my ride has done 6500 km and the petrol average and the average on cng is still the same.... u just need proper tuning both on petrol and CNG, and CNG mixture adjustment

Yes this is what I was thinking, that they should have done tuning, tappet adjustment etc... I'll visit them tomorrow and see.
