Default My Mehran's 2013 EFI Fuel Consumption - Share your views pl

    Hello,

Mehran 2013 is my first car. I know nothing about cars. The main reason for choosing Mehran was its Fuel efficiency. Here are a few calculations that I have done. Pl share your views

I haven't changed the Engine Oil yet as PakSuzuki says to change it after 5k. First Free Inspection done at 1400Kms

AC was OFF ALL THE TIME and my average speed was 90kph

I get the exact same average(ie, between 17.5-19)whenever i travel on long routes, usually from lahore to faisalabad or from lahore to multan
I once travelled via motorway to islamabad, 2 passengers, didnt turn AC on, and Kept the car between 70-85 km/h..... I got an amazing 21km/litre average which is the best i've achieved so far

    Thats nice figures.
but on the long journeys, i personally feel that "Comfort" also does matter alot and keep us away from being so tired while driving, and unluckily mehran still lacking this point. i-e luxury.
new price is pretty awesome, but suzuki should workout to add more comfort in this car like jdm but without hurting its mileage.

@dr.omair Have you done anything about the brakes because the brakes are really bad =(( Thinking of installing Alto's brakes in it. Heard it costs Rs. 2,500 and you gotta give your current brakes too to the installer
@auziv check now pl. AC was OFF all the time. Avg speed 90kph

I own 2 Mehran Euro II 2013, one is VX in smoke green (7,000 kms done to date) the second is VXR in white color (8,000 kms done to date). The VX has upgraded tires from general to Yokohama, whereas VXR is stock.

I was thinking of starting a detailed thread on my experience with the highest selling car in Pakistan but wasn't able to do so due to time constraints. Coming back to the topic, the fuel averages of my cars are as:

    VX
16 kmpl in city (definitely w/o AC )

    VXR
9-10 kmpl in city (with AC)
11-12 kmpl in city (w/o AC)

All driving is with light foot, on rash driving the fuel averages go further down.

i get 16-17 km/l inside city. I got 18-19 on highway with average speed being 90 km/h on my trip to Naran Kaghan.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
