    Default Timing advance processor (CNG advancer) instalation in Mehran Euro2

    Asalam o alaikum........ Dear pakwheelrs.... I need help regarding the instalation of TAP in my mehran euro2, which is efi with distributor... I hv already installed cng kit with emulator only... I want to know which TAP is best for it and how may i install it i-e the wiring diagram may be very helpful for me, and what may be the cost of a good TAP.... JazakaAllah in advance......

    you can use two configurations 'technically'
    1)Using PLATINOS — AEB Alternative Fuel Electronics .This plugs in the distributor and advances the timing.This is specially for the new mehran Euro-II which has the breaker-point distributor ignition.
    2)You can use either the landi renzo advancer or a tommassetto .This connects with the tps and advances the timing on CNG.

    I have tried both in my Honda D series engine as it is very similar to the engine in mehran euro-II as it contains both the distributor and the TPS.

    jazakaAllah imtiaz awan sb.... actuallymy cng mechenic is not willing to instal any advancer in my car,,, so i hv to do it DIY... I think the distributer one, that first one is a better and simpler option...... What may be the cost of this advancer ??

    How will you justify the Landirenzo product STAP-00B which is for carby cars?

    Anyways, you are right in a sense that in distributor models, the TAP is not used to advance the timing rather to retard it. Set the timing mechanically for CNG and tune from the advancer(retarder to be more specific) for petrol... Somebody correct me?

    I dont know how they claim that STAP-00B can ELECTRICALLY advance or retard ignition timing of a system that is using mechanical contacts...This is extremely illogical....
    Dstributor would provide current to the plugs when there would be a contact establised between distributor rotor and stationary terminal and would not give a damn about what advancer would do.....
    The only type of advance that works with distributors is a vaccum advance, a mechanism that is there in all distributors that adnavces the timing by altering the position of stator wrt point at high rpms.....utilizing intake manifold vaccum...

    The only way to auto advance/retard ignition timing of cars having distributor is if someone find the way to operate that vaccum advance mechanism by some other means like using electical solenoid when cars swithes to cng....although i havent heard about any such similar system being used anywhere maybe because it would make system too complex ....

    There is a wire that goes to the coil from distributor. A timed signal from that wire makes the coil to generate the spark voltage. The timing of that signal is varied by the fixed, centrifugal and vacuum advance. All are mechanical variables.

    But if somehow a microprocessor based device is designed to just delay this signal in time, we will have a timing retard processor. Here i will mention that a timing advance processor will be impossible to design as you will not know when the signal will come. you never know the future, right?

    i have purchased this from local electrician in rawalpindi, box and wiring, fitted in my 2006 crby cultus, this is working fine. timings are now 10 on petrol and advanced automatically on CNG to 20. working very fine

    Install neotek advancer.

    Carby engines use retarder. Dont confuse it with efi advancer.
