I bought mehran 2003 factory fitted CNG kit . now I am facing following problems.
1. It mix patrol and CNG , I unplugged patrol pipe Now running fine my mechanic changed patrol switch solenoid but the problem is not fixed he replaced with some other car (2nd hand)
2. When I Switch off my car on patrol it starts fine early in the cold morning , but when I switched off my engine on CNG it doesnot start on cold mornings. But during day and evening and night its starts within 1 or 2 ignition .
3. My battery is about new like but early in the morning it takes jerks weak like as it was consumed during night , unplugging battery wires are not solution I dont know where its power is consume in 7 hours.
4. My mehran takes jerks suddenly on CNG , but 2,3 days it runs smoother suddenly anytime it starts jerking( my patrol pipe is unplugged as I am suffering from mixing problem too)
Please please tell my very very expert mechanic of CNG that can get rid off my above mentioned problem . My mechanic promised me to replace solenoid switch for mixing problem , but I am sured now he is not understanding the problem.
Yes it was very cool , I park in front of my home dont have in house parking. AT Safora chowk university road , its totally wide area.
The problem is not understandable by mechanic when i bring to mechanic it starts in one self so he says the battery is ok , race is ok he dint get y not starting early in the morning.
Remember taxi drivers also park their vehicles in open areas , my manager and one of colleague bring mehran 2002 self start on CNG and they say they are not facing any problem.
Last 5 days my car starts in 2nd self early in the morning. So it is anomalous behaviour don't know what is the issue . :-(
If a different sound comes from exuast like (bhap bhap bhap.....Etc) then what does it mean?
is it engine problem or exaust lines are full with carbon?
or engine is getting weak?
or fuel burning is not completed successfully?
Haseeb your silencer might be punctured ( holes in silencer) due to rust and water droplets from raods it got puncture. Or your dholki ( the thick middle part of silencer) broke from its rear end where end pipe starts. better to get it repaired from gas weldding silencer mechanic.
On CNG, early in morning it would always take 2-3 ignitions to start your car. This is completely normal. However, if you start your car with in an interval of 3-4 hours, it would start on first ignition.
On petrol, it would always start on first ignition no matter the duration of inactivity until and unless your car is very very cold.
So if your car starts on second attempt in morning. Do not be disappointed because this is normal in my opinion.
Secondly, make sure you have some grease on your battery terminals and scrap off all deposits on terminals that might lead to poor contact. Also get your fuel lines checked, clean your spark plugs, and get your car properly tuned.
I am no expert, this is just a suggestion. Hope your problem gets rectified.
hmm, i checked all exhaust pipe lines are fine and no rust at all on them. Problem was in ignition point when i re-tune it and changed the ignition point and clean the spark plugs, the problem resolved 80%. Now ride is running fine.
