I went bhurban / Murree / ayubia in my 2014 mehran last year. no issues. just drive patiently and don't overtake or over speed like crazy.

on way back some guy in old Toyota was honking rudely to overtake , I give him way , he enters a sharp right turn ahead of us, we hear a screeching braking sound and duzz ,,,, he hit an oncoming car and lying unconscious on steering wheel with blood on forehead and horn going on non stop.

be chill and patient and you'll enjoy the trip.

Just keep an eye on temp gauge and check brakes and brake pipes before going to murree.

Check for the clutch and pressure plates as you'll need power to drive up the hill,
keep a close eye on the temperature guage , dont use excessive brakes and try to keep them cool , keep the car in gear and use less clutch
Keep the tyre pressure correct, if you feel the car is losing grip then you may take some air out from tires

and be patient and have a safe journey

Have safe journey brother.. The first thing you should do is recite Dua-e-Safar. Get your brakes' gasket' radiator' wiring & tires checked do not over load & over speed let the car cool down take brakes enjoy the view & let the Mehru take some rest as well.. I have been on mehran to places that i may self was amazed that how did this thing brought me here.. "Jaisy sarfraz dhokak nhi data waisy he mehru bhi dhoka nhe deyga" ALLAH ka naam lay k nikal jao

Easily, You can even go any place. Remember to have petrol working. Although petrol is not needed. Remember that going uphill is easy and downhill is difficult. Always keep your vehicle in gear. Never ever neutral.
1 Advice from me. Never use brakes while turning or cornering. Always use brake before turn.

Use engine braking when coming down hill, and also use same gear for downhill which is required for uphill. That way strain on brakes will be less, otherwise brakes are likely to heat up and fail.

Wonderful tips from fellow Pakwheelers, especially reciting prayers. As far as route is concerned, since this is your first trip to Murree, I recommend you use Murree Expressway from Islamabad (instead of 'old' Murree Road). It is easier to drive as the climb is comparatively not that steep, plus it is not single lane. God forbid, if there is any car problem, dial 130 and Motorway Police will be there to help you out quickly. Keep extra water in the car, just in case you need to cool down your vehicle (if it heats up). Be careful in opening the radiator cap and remember NOT to turn off engine before adding water into radiator. Wishing you a pleasant and safe trip. Good luck.

you can easily go to hilli areas on Mehran.. Except its more easy to drive mehran on Murree and hilli areas than any other car .. because of its small size .. it helps you on turns
slow n steady wins the race..
