Default Mehran Saved from Burning Away

Yesterday there was a fire in the fuse box of my mehran. The day before yesterday a fuse had been burnt an the car came to a hault in middle of the road near Bilal Masjid, Defence.
After an hour my relative bought a random electrician and he said fuse in your car for ignition is 15A it should be 30A and the next day fire in the fuse box. When I went to my personal electrician he said that max fuse should be of 20A and he showed the fuse box.
That random electrician had already charged 500rs
The fire did not do much damage Alhamdulillah As I had accesss to water

Yar i did not know which fuse he is inserting. It was 8:30 pm with only dates and no iftari. Plus he said to change all to 30A. I instead said let one be changed

Still be careful, you should have checked the rating on the blown fuse

I think short circuit was already intending to ignite a spark due to which the stock 15A fuse was burnt. But rather to find out actual reason for fuse burning, the electrician just inserted a big value 30A fuse. Which resulted in fire in vehicle due to culprit wiring.

ALHAMDULILLAH you are saved from huge loss. However go to some suzuki dealer ship and get it checked by expert electrician. Don't take it easy or simple issue.

we need expert "lektrishann" to find a short in a mehran wiring?

btw - this problem is expected to be resolved by the user of the car as the circuits are on a fuse which are accesible with no tools and have markings on them too.

The user manual of every car shows you the fuse locations.

As a rule a higher amp rating fuse is never used as remedy. The fuse is there to act like a "fusible link" and not a bridge.

please have a look at this picture, it explains fuse ratings

remove the fuse, and put a lamp or multimeter probe in there - go and wiggle the wiring connectors that somewhat lead to the fused site, e.g. engine goes to ignition coil and carby solenoid etc.

    you will find the short.
