Check the coolant level as u said u just turned the fans to auto so now pressure is created in the system and probably it's leaking from somewhere now.

If the fan switch is new, the thermostat might be faulty or the pin might be stuck. Was the thermo new or used? Was it checked in boiling water?

I agree with proverbial_slang. u need to check the thermostat valve. to be sure, replace it with a new one. get one from a good spare parts shop. secondly, I am also suspecting a faulty auto fan switch. get it checked too. and its a good step you took to place ur fan on auto. my mehran is a 1996 model and is on auto fan since. the engine has never been overhauled. u just need to spend some effort on troubleshooting and you will be successful.

aftermarket auto fan switches are not that reliable. my mechanic had blown up my autofan switch while replacing the clutch plate set. so a wise person guided me to get a used kabli one rather than a new one. if you want to get a new one then get it from any suzuki 3s dealership
