Default Mehran 2014 heat up problem

    Aoa,
Dear fellows i just bought mehran vx 2014 model few days ago, the car is in good condition and the mileage of car is about 10,000 kms but yesterday i just started the car in the morning went to market which is hardly a Kilometre away and came back when i stopped the car at my home and turned off the engine there was popping sound came from bonnet i at once checked the bonnet where the water was boiling in the reservoir bottle, i started the engine again and the temp gauge was on High i started pouring water on radiator to cool down , i almost poured 12-13 buckets of water on radiator then the gauge reached in the middle , one thing i noticed that the fan was off all the time. Now today i went to mechanic he checked the car and replaced the fuse only and said all set now.
But in the evening when i again checked the water level in the reservoir bottle was on lower level which was on the full level when i poured the water in the morning, and the temp gauge was keep on changing like when the fan turns on the gauge lowers down.
Now i have a question that whether the head gasket of the car is blown or something ?
Mehran owners please help me out in the problem i shall be very thankful to you as in have to travel to my uni which is almost 19 kms away from my home one sided and i have to travel almost 40 kms every day so, i don't want any kind of hassle .
    Thank you in advance pakwheelers.

I had a mehran few years ago with similar problems. In my case, the thermostat valve which is supposed to switch the fan on at a certain temperature, was not working. Desi mechanic did a jugaar by directing the fan. I wouldn't suggest you do that but get your thermostat valve checked as well. I am afraid though it could possibly be a blown up head gasket.

Open the engine oil cap and look if the inner side of cap has white color liquid or inside the tappet cover then its the case of blown gasket but if it has normal engine oil like blackish or brownish liquid then its fine ur gasket is perfect

dear simple way to check blown gaskit is:
1.open radiator cap & see any oil spot
2.check engine oil cap & u might seen white traces(moisture)
if u dont have both then congrats

    then go for
    1.complete radiator service
2.flush ur radiator & this time fill with branded coolant(i recommend Toyota coolant) it will cost u around Rs. 3500 from 3s toyota dealer
    3.make your fan direct
4.change your fan with 8 blade or 6 blade fan & of bigger size
5.install additional fan so that 2 fan will cool your system

these r only ways to keep ur mehran cool
