    Default Heat Up Problem [Mehran VXR]

    Hi All,

    My 1 week old Mehran VXR went into some trouble last evening and the fan stopped working when I was on highway due to some fuse problem. I got a mechanic on from near by place and he turned on the fan directly from battery to fix the problem temporarily. After 10 mins or so while I was waiting for car to cool down, the battery was dead and I was unable to start it off. Finally somehow I got it back home in Lahore.

    I got the car to SUZUKI service center and the mechanic said that it was some wiring problem and is fixed now.

    For some reason I noticed that the fan was being turned on too often. On my way from home to office [5-6]KM it turned on 3-4 times i think.

    I am confused as one of my friend said that in this weather fan is even not supposed to start in any case, and One is saying that its normal behavior and I should not be worried on this.

    Please post back your feedback on this issue so that I get some relief on this.

    Best regards,

    check coolent.
    check oil level.

    If these things r fine then there is no need to worry.your friend's theory is wrong about radiator fan.engine should reach optimum temprature to work smoothly.IF u r still not satisfied then remove the thermostate value, fan will not start often,Although it is not recommended.

    The fan in mehran automatically starts at half temp at gague. So the fan will start every time the temp shoots above half to cool down temp.

    Is there any problem if the radiator fan is directly connected to the battery?

    Does it have any impact on engine's performance?

    @amir...

    chill yaar kuch nahi hota itnay pani say..BTW only fill the reserviour bottle to the 'UPPER LEVEL' mark.

    @NightHawk

    only if u r living in extreme cold,like ISB these days.coz direct fan doesn't let engine temprature reach it's optimum working temprature which affects engine performance

    @amirbilal,
    its normal dont worry.
    Adding water in coolant tank wont do any harm. Coolant is supposed to be anti corrosive and anti freeze so u diluted it a bit. Its ok

    NO problem yarron
    connect fan directly ( if any problem occur this is due to bad electrician)
    alway put thicker wire,& use with cutout & fuse
    cutout will cost 65Rs. but not cause burden on battery
    also use fuse
    99.9% mechanics dont use cutout & fuse & connect direct wire to battery which discharge batt
    so better assembly
    -Always put green coolant in your radiator
    always wear seat belts ( now they r commin in pakistani suziki's).i know after wearing seat belt,pupil look u by revolving necks ( seems u come from mars) but ignore them

    even from today we all pakwheelers follow habit of seat belt wearing we can change environment here in pakistan

    we young pupil can educate society by weraing seta belts
