    Default Mehran OVerheating:@

Dear PWheelers I am facing yet another problem with my Mehran and need some help and suggestion.

My Car is getting overheated every time i drive it for more than 15mins ...Water gets so much hot that it starts to flow out of the Radiator's Supp Bottle the Plastic one

1.What is the best solution to this problem?
2.Can low level of engine oil be a cause of this problem?
3.The water in the radiator is Orange coloured with Orange dust like particles Can this be the Cause bcz my father says it is normal. If this can be the cause than what is the solution.
    Thanks
    lol

what model is your mehran ?

is the fan automatic or direct.

    Please check the following things:
a)if the fan is automatic check that it starts at the desired level of the heat needle in the car dash. usually water starts getting out of the bottle when the fan isn't working.
b)also go to some radiator wala and check whether the radiator cap is ok and isn't leaking pressure. also ask the guy to check if their is any rust in the radiator. because the orange colour of water may be due to rust or any coolant added.
c)go to some mechanic and ask him to check that whether ur car's head gaskit is blown due to heating or is still f9 .

    i hope this helps.
and if its a new mehran get the problem solved immediately bcz once these mehrans give heating problems it becomes very difficult to bring them back to normal.
    Good luck with the problem.
    c)

    Model is 95
    1.Fan is Direct.
2.I got the radiator cleaned 3 Months ago when the car showed the problem after that I was all fine but now it has started the same problem again.
3.Once I was on my way the car started to heat up I stopped the car and than opened the Plastic bottle although i was full but I forced some water in there and than it was fine is that something to do with pressure?

i think that ur radiator cap is leaking pressure. get ur radiator checked. sometimes the top of the radiator where the cap gets tightened called something like "dakka" by people is not even and it leaks pressure . if thats the case the guy will take like 200 rupees and fit a new one.

also i hope that ur mehran doesn't reduces oil on regular basis. beacuse if it does that u may have to go gor new gaskets and new oil and compression rings.

bottom line take ur car to some very well experienced & sensible mechanic that u trust . if you would have been in lahore i could have helped .

wid the promission of all the experts i want to share some thing if im wrong plz fel free to comment.

when ur car is cool i.e. when its radiator is not hot remove the cap of the radiator, fill it completely and pull the acelator string.
    1) see if water is poping out and ne sing of oil or bubbles if no ur gaskit is ok
    2) see water is revolving or not in the radiator and gets a bit low when u pull the accelator cord if yes ur water body is ok
    3) check if there is ne leak in any of hosepipe or ur radiator cap is ok by checking the rubber on the inner side of the cap

Note: if u have prob wid ur gaskit before replacing make sure ur head is properly surfaced i.e. its smoth so that when placed together there is no chance of air intake.

I had same problem with my car.I consulted some 1 and he said thr cud be some air in the radiator.
Start the car open the cap and pour some water if bubbles comes out for sure thr is some air in the radiator.
Keep filling the radiator until all the air comes out and hopefully u will be alright after that try it.

    yes definitely
    head blown gaskit
u have to put new gaskit & get ur head resurface
-Always put green coolant in your radiator
always wear seat belts ( now they r commin in pakistani suziki's).i know after wearing seat belt, pupil look u by revolving necks ( seems u come from mars) but ignore them

even from today we all pakwheelers follow habit of seat belt wearing we can change environment here in pakistan

we young pupil can educate society by weraing seta belts
