    Default Mehran Heating up

Dear all. Require your expert opinion. My mehran heats up during use of A.C. in local (Lahore). Any suggestions on how to make it work would be appreciated. Please don't suggest selling it and buying latest civic as can't afford one. Any mod or settings that can help me use A.C. on mehran in the hot summer of lahore city. Waiting for your suggestions!!!

is ur AC on Mehran an FF?
I have a non-FF AC Genuine SANDEN fitted after markets and it works good with a little routine maintenance work, though i do not commute in hot days but sill my car's AC performs better than most of the Mehrans that I hear of.

    1) check radiator fan speed.
    2) replace radiator
    3) get better AC comprassor (new 1s dont over load engine)
    4) Take ur car to a nice mech and ask him to check the temp with AC and if its with in the operational range than just do nothing change ur temp switch.

    Radiator Fan is already direct.
I know that the engine is heating because the guage crosses well over center as well as the water starts boiling.
What would u people recommend about changing the grill and compressor (which one should i buy, any specific) and is it tested solution or just a hit and trial because i don't want alot of burden on my pocket
thanks for suggestions and waiting for more.

I am not sure but try searching for Universal radiator (desi name for a desi radiator) for your mehran. My driver told me about it. According to him its bigger in size, it has two fans so, it should be able to cool down your mehran.

Another thing he was telling me was about universal condenser for ac. It is suppose to work far better than orignal one.

Do check with someone who has done this with their mehran.

    How old is ure car?
Get a bonnet fabricated and get a fan on it which will cool your engine further. Mehran and cuore hv no fans for ac like bigger cars and there is no place to put fan infront of the aluminium fins of mehran aur cuore.
The thing i m telling u is a desi solution but it will not make ure car temp go above half.
U hv to make sure the rain water doesnot goes directly in the fan moter mounted on ure bonnet. Car will look odd but inside c√łoling will be gud. I hv travelled in a mehran in summers with this kind of setup. His problem was same as ures. Ac threw hot air when car was stuck in traffic and temp guage went up. He opted for that big fan setup on bonnet. Dont cut ure original bonnet. Get a new one from market and them do the thing done if u feel comfortable in doing this.

I don't think there is thermostat valve in ht erediator as several mechanics have already checked.

Its a 98 Mehran. Have seen cars with small fan installed infront of Ac Grill. It is done by making space with in the front bumber but is not visible from outside. i know that mechanics in peshawar can do it but don't know any expert in lahore.

    Radiator Fan is already direct.

    @perkypir

Is there any bench mark to define that when temp guage crosses half then engine sud be considered as heated up?
As far as boliing of water is concern definately its boils in all cars specially wid AC on & in traffic jam thats why the pressure cap is used on radiator to increase the boiling temprature of water/coolant.

There are several remedies even u can install the multiple fans wid much bigger radiators but the question is that is ur car realy heating up?

First of all disconnect fan hot wire from ac pressure switch and let it run automatic on thermo as it runs without ac. The problem is when we turn on the ac the automatic/thermostatic control is turned off and the fan runs with the compressor. The compressor trips and the fan goes off no matter how hot the radiator is. So by runningthe fan automatic the fan will turn off only when the temp goes down.
