    Go for a 86-87 Japanese Swift 1000cc old shape of Khyber.

    Put in a Japanese Cultus 1500cc engine and you will have yourself a great car with a Good resale.

    i suggest going for datsun 120-y. any model from 1979-1982.

    car has excellent demand and resale. plus it is immensely reliable. parts are unbelievable cheap and easily available so easy to repair and sell.

    i am restoring a 1981 120-y myself but not for selling purpose. i will use it.

    suzukis are generally too delicate and keep giving problems.

    Depending on where you are located and how well you know your cars & parts I'd even suggest you look at a beetle. I bought one and rebuilt it for around 1.5 lacks,... and sold it 9 months later for the same amount.

    Sadly I sold the beetle areound 2001, so it's currently just the defender & a merc.

    @r1zwan
    Believe it or not the WHOLE project was i.5 lacs, including buying the car. It was rebuilt by Rustum (good denter near choor chawk)& khalid ustaad (he's a known VW mechanic). 90% of the parts were new and are available in pindi (specialized VW parts shops).

    Sadly the idiot who bought it fitted a really badly welded roof and ruined it.

    All r great cars worth keeping. Beetle seems to me a super beetle 1302 or 1303. Which one was it? I would love to kill the one who welded roof on top of it.
