Default Milleage Problem in Mehran.... Help Needed

    AOA,
i have Mehran 2005...4000km done.. doing Rs 1.90/KM on CNG and 11KM/Ltr on Petrol.. i have changed its tyres (stock 145/70 SR 12) to 145/70 SR 13 (Hankook)... My mech says that every thing in my car is in perfect Condition... its only due to tyre size that car is not giving good milleage... i just want to ask my bros that is it the reason for bad milleage(mean changed tyres).. ????
    Thanks...

    Hi,
Brother i think untill and unless you put thick tyres like 165/12 then only it can effect your consumption but as you said it is 4000Km old car then go to a mechanic for a service or change the air filter or clean it . This will help you alot.
Comments on how am i behaving please call 0800-9211420 and eat ****!

I don`t think you are geeting too low mileage . Yoy are getting average mileage . I am getting 65 kms in Rs 145 in my cuore 96 which means 2.3 per km coz i have installed a boster in my car , without boster it will give 2.o per km , SO i think ur cars mileage is ok

    hello!
changing Dia of tyres can't effect the milage but changing its width might effect...its avg on mehran...not a bad milage...check plugs clean air filter if car is point contact check point...balance proper air in all 4 tyres...and then check....surely find difference..

speedometer of your car is showing 5% less speed then actual

If u r going at 60 car is actualy doing 63.

So the reading u get on the ODOmeter is 5% short of actual distance travelled.

If u multiply the reading of Odometer with 105% then u will get the actual Kms travelled. This will improve thinbgs definitely.

e.g if u are currently travelling 100 Kms in 8 Liters
    Actualy u r doing (100 * 1.05)=105 Kms

The average u get currently will be
    100/8=12.5

whereas actual average will be 105/8=13.125

    I hope it helps

There is a tyre size calculator available on this link.

    http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

i hope it will be helpfull

so the conclusion is that stock tyre size should not be changed.

Not only the meter readings get affected but many other problems arise as well,

e.g. suspension issues, drivetrain wear and tear etc.

well, u are lucky your gettin 11kms/litre!! Im getting 9-10 on my mehran wid Stage 1 Mods accounting for the shitty average!

But I am still unsure if thats good enuff on a stock mehran! Widout mods, if u keep it under 60 in fourth gear, you might get more than 11! ANd yah, when u get a long stretch between traffic lights and ur at a high enuf speed, just put it in neutral for the time being! This will improve things too!!

And AVOID slowing down and then accelerating again and again!! keep a steady speed under 60 in one gear and Inshallah you will get better mileage! And change gears earlier too!

Thats the formula of a nice enuf average! Put em in and then let us know wat happens.
